I voted for the Sebenza, but the knife that always finds its way into my pocket most every single day (and I have many), is the Spyderco Tenacious. China cheap, but Spyderco quality, a lot of knife for the money, cool but priced to use! Love it (and its little brother)!

Perhaps it would be a fun idea to select a 'best of <brand>' and THEN pit these against each other. Some people will choose 35 Spyderco's before they choose 1 Benchmade, and vice versa. But put up the most popular of each brand and it might be an interesting outcome.

I think if I could honestly answer the question then I wouldn't be a member here or on any other forums any more and my checkbook would get fat and healthy again.

I'm always on the lookout for the "best" knife for myself, and for about one week after I get a new knife I think that is the one. And then I start the hunt again.

I have had some fantastic knives pass through my hands, as well as some expensive ones, and I still keep looking and buying.

Honestly - a Victorinox with a decent mix of tools is all I really need to get through the day. Everything else is just jewelry.:D

Good answer! ;)

I pick none of the above. The best, IMHO, is the ZT 0350CB.

Also, where are all the slipjoints? No Case Peanut!?!

Mine vote went for other. The ZT/H 0551. I came close too buying CR SEB. But I wanted a wider blade. Plus there where no new XM18s.

From the folders listed above, the Fallkniven PXL is the only one I have owned and used.
It's F&F is very good, looks and feels luxurious to me.
But then again, I own only 6 folders so far. :p

Since "best" is highly subjective, and my subjective opinion changes about 5 times a day (literally), I can't really answer the question.

If I want a big, honkin' folder that I could peel open a car door with, maybe its a CS Recon 1 tanto with polished blade.

Two hours later, I'm thinking "why am I carrying something this dang big", and I switch to a SOG Twitch II and it becomes "best".

Later in the day, I think "hey, this Twitch is too small", so I end up with a Stretch II FRN in my pocket. Feels just right. For a while.

So "best" is, as our President would say, outside my pay grade. Maybe if I forced myself to get rid of everything but one folder, that folder might by default be the "best". Right now, I would say thats a Stretch II FRN.

But thats subject to change. :p
