what is the blade length you are carrying?

For automatic knives, piranha bodyguard non-serrated 3.3 inch. For folders, CRKT M16 EDC 3.0 inch non-serrated.

Gerber Paraframe II
Half-Serrated
blade length: 3.53" (According to website)

Kershaw Military Boot Knife
razor edge
blade length; 4.5"
Under-coat sheath

i don't normally carry two knives but i was in a sketchy part of town tonight... long story.

the boot knife? it's ok, doesn't hold an edge very well and it has somewhat limited practical purposes... but good for the price! and the multiple carry options are nice.

I'm pretty sure the Paraframe II is under 3 inches. I have one, and the blade is about the same size as the Delica's.

I checked a few websites and the Gerber paraframe II does have a 3.5 inch blade. The paraframe I has a 3 inch blade.

if it's Delica-sized, you have a Paraframe I... the II has the longer blade. But they do look almost exactly the same in pictures, so...

great knife for the price, isn't it? That frame lock has been rock solid for me so-far. I've heard of people getting a lot of blade play and loose screws etc but it's my designated work knife and gets beat on pretty hard... still rock solid. What say you?

Im carrying three.

All between 2.5 and 2.8 inches...

Case 3318 Stockman in Yellow
Victorinox Solo in Silver Alox
Camillus TL-29 in Black

Today: 2 1/8", PE. Nemesis Imp.

Regularly: ~ 2" = Spyderco Kiwi, Nemesis Imp, Benchmade Benchmite, Vic Cadet or Mini Champ, and sometimes Spyderco Cricket or Co-Pilot.

My 3" knives get carried less, but are: Benchmade mini-grip, SAK Farmer, Spyderco Caly III, Sage, and a SE Delica. All are PE except the Delica.

No_Boost,
I've been attracted to that Kershaw Mil. boot knife for the longest.
I know the steel is sub-wonderful 1.4116. But would changing the edge bevel change anything..probably not since holding power is in the steel type more than bevel. Still...just looking for an excuse.

How would it stack up to a similar grind in AUS-8, do you think?

BTW, I have relatives in Apex and Cary...which part of Raleigh is sketchy?

You sure? I swear to hell my box said Paraframe II. I got it from Target, and it came with the Solstice multi-tool.

Anyway, I've never actually used it, so I can't really comment. The lock seems alright, but the clip is a piece of crap. They made it poorly so that the clip pushes the pocket material into this sharp "point" on the frame, so it's a (female dog) to attach to clothing.

PE the most I think the serrated edge is to long sometimes. 3'-4' but I usually have a least two knives on me. And a larger fixed blade in the trunk.

Lately, 3" bladed Delica, plain edge. About 3.5" blade seems best for me. 4" blade folders tend to get in the way.
