I have recently sold off my entire collection to upgrade to higher quality blades and decided to be more brand loyal mainly because its easier to keep up with a couple select companies than bounce around to 1000 different ones. I chose Busse for all my fixed blade needs, RMJ for my hawks, gransfors bruks for woods type stuff, victorinox for multi purpose and multi tool knives.
And now I'm 99% set on hinderer for folders, so what brand of folder do the rest of you hogs go for. I don't feel my mind will change on Hinderer I'm just curious to see what else is out there. I have carried a ZT 0560 for a couple years and love the design I just want the real thing now.

I like the Hinderer designs, but I Love the weight and durability of my Grayman Dua...can't beat it for the price...I'm not afraid to use it is the bottom line!

I just picked up the ZT/Emerson 0620 collaboration knife.
It has t some really excellent features.
I really like the hardened steel insert on the lock bar face.
It is built better than any Emerson or strider I have owned.
I have big hands (4.25" across the palm) and it fits really well.
Give it a look.

I had a spyderco I liked,a harpy I lost it somewhere between Virginia and West Palm Beach Florida at gas station and now I don't cut rope like I did then so I have never replaced, I had an Emerson also, super nice but tore my pockets all to hell haha. Strider I have not owned but, I am definitely set on flippers, but don't know of Many other than RHK

Flippers.....Check out the Spyderco Southard they flip really nice....but its a departure from the ZT/Hinderer you favor!

PM2. Nimble, fits my hand very comfortably, easily opened/closed with one hand AND as a bonus, it has a geometry that makes it a proficient slicer; it actually cuts things well. Have an SNG, which I love...but a good slicer it is not. Personally, I want a folder to complement whichever Busse might tickle my fancy that particular day. Finesse cutting or brute strength, got both covered.:D

If Hinderers are on your list then why not a step further get a custom!

I have a good many production folders that I like a great deal - Spyderco, Benchmade, Zero Tolerance mostly. But I think my best folder for all-around use is my Microtech Socom Elite with a 4" x 0.17" S35V clip point blade and aluminum handle. Great knife.

I've daily carried a Spyderco Delica and a Spyderco Endura for several years now. Love 'em both. Just my .02.:)

What's a folder?????……

Seriously though, I have next to no interest in folders as I just don't see a need for a knife that folds. The only folding knife I carry is a Leatherman PST, it doesn't really ever get used as a knife though….

I carry a Busse hell razor in the trunk of my patrol car with my SAR and soon to be sniper gear :) but I just don't have a way to carry a fixed blade comfortably and covertly at work....would love it if I could carry a pork shank on my duty belt everyday haha

The Hell Razor is not an easy blade to carry, but that's not to say it cannot be carried concealed with comfort. I might be able to help you find a solution, if you want send me a PM and let me know what sort of gear/clothing/body type you have to contend with.

These guys gets the job done...

I would go with Hinderer. It is just such a nice knife. I am planning on an XM-18 from the next batch in FEB-MAR, but an XM-24 sounds interesting.
Strider seems good too, but not if you are dedicated to a flipper. I had a PT and thought it was too small, but I liked the feel of it, so I am trying to get a SnG or SMF now.
I did just see a Medford flipper that looked kind of cool, and it was a little over $400, which seemed pretty reasonable.
