It’s been a few years ago but I have used my Buck 108 10 inch Froe out camping. It comes in handy for clearing brush like a machete and small tree limbs around the camp site. I’ve used it to split kindling for campfires but not logs. And it also works great for cutting french bread loaves to toast on the grill.
I have used my Buck 124 frontiersman 6.5 inch blade quite a bit over the years out camping. The one I have used most is the 117 small special 4.5 inch and it’s my favorite fixed blade out fishing, hunting and just all around general purpose knife.
