Since there is an upper limit thread...

My cheapest knife is a Bear MGC balisong @ $60 shipped. The rest of my stuff is past the $150 mark.

Cheapest I have spent was "Free" :D

Least I have spent is $5 Generally I tend to not go below $35 if I just need a "cheapie" knife. Most I have spent I think is $150. Most of mine are in the $50-$75 range

I own 21 or so knives, if that helps.

I own a few Byrds. None of those are over $20. But I'd accept any knife for less, hell for free if I thought it was any good at all... :D
But seriously, those are the cheapest I've got, except a Cold Steel Kudu, which has the insanest price/performance at $7. Sharp as a razor, 4" blade, good lockup... best 7 bucks I ever spent on a knife.
So no bottom limit, as long as the knife is a good deal.

Cheapest knife I own and use is the Opinel(s). Also happens to be one of my favorites

Anything under $20 makes me skeptical for cheap knives, but for decent knives I don't usually go under $60.

I'm more worried about paying too much for a knife than I am about paying too little.

I have a Chinese-made Buck Colleague for which I paid ~$12. It works just fine for EDC.

I think I might have a few old cheap slip joints up in the attic that I have had forever. :)

There really are knives that work very well that are as cheap as $5-$10. No limit on cheap-ness, only on expensive-ness.

I wont mention the crap I bought in my teens when I didn't know better.

Bought a pair of Buck 371s (woodgrain and redwood) for $24 shipped here on the forums (thanks morablades!).

A Byrd and Kabar Dozier both under $20.

Gave a friend of mine a buck for a Kershaw Black Gulch. The blade markings were flawed, but was sound otherwise.

I don't think I have a minimum. If a knife is a good user, well made and has decent materials and is 10$ i don't care. You can't put a price on quality and someone out there may be selling something cheaply thats made well. I consider swiss army knives cheap but theyre great users. I usually have a maximum as to how much money i have available lol but never a minimum, well a minimum in how well the knife will hold up but not on money.

My least expensive knife is in the $60 range. I don't know that I have a minimum per se, it's just the way it has worked out.

Well, I just picked up a CRKT K.I.S.S. for $11. Probably the least I've spent on this hobby in quite a few years. I do have quite a few free knives though, I seem to acquire Wenger SAKs free with some regularity.
