What is the most ergonomic fixed blade handle? 🤔

What makes you say this, any particular reasons?
I guess it's due to the Companion being so light, having a comfortable rubber grip, that allows me to use it for long periods of time with no blistering.

Sometimes when camping, I will sit quietly and whittle on stuff for hours. I do this to become acquainted with my knife, and also for relaxation.

Out of the many models I own, the basic Mora let's me work the longest.

Second is a Kellum Wolverine with a curly birch handle, but that wood is very grippy and eventually creates blisters.

Third is a Marttiini filet knife, likely due to its weight. When cutting up fish for three or four hours, the weight definitely becomes a factor.

A palm filling, neutral handle is just more comfortable in my hand.

I have an array of Joker knives that are also nice in hand, but again, that extra weight causes my hands to fatigue quicker.

Walter Brend bowies have the best ergos I've ever felt. The wheeler shown above is quite similar with a Moran style to it. A well designed coffin has a great balanced feel also. Also notable is the handle on the falkniven MB excellent contours and size.

Any favorite amongst these or does it depend on the day?
Sam Lurquin’s Huark in a full handle knife is an incredible feel in the hand …….its a big little knife

for an edc this

for an edc its precise and as a defensive knife it facilitates Filipino grip and ice pick grip exceedingly well

For a chopper these were really good

confidence inspiring in the swing

These were an exercise in perfection

the handle was perfect for doing what a Bowie was meant to do

As I have medium sided hands, the Becker tweener handles are the most ergonomic for me. I can use my 17 for hours without an issue.

For larger Knives, Ontario's SP series rubber handles are very comfortable and secure.

A fixed blade handle is half the knife. You can’t judge comfort without knowing application. For example, these two are similar size and weight, one is well balanced for general propose/field duty, the other is front heavy and great for chopping. They have great handles, guard config, etc., for what they are made for:

The following two facilitate reverse grip. Not often needed in - say - a camp knife …. But camping is not everything.

Also, what kind of pommel do you need ? Etc.

Hard to just pick one maker … CPK and Busse are generally very good if you have large hands, but think about what the knife is for, first.

Roland.

I think the swell in the handle makes for great ergonomics as well.

Wait a minute, I need a reason for the knife? I thought we were all crazy knife junkies!

The Spyderco Bushcraft UK handle holds the most comfortable spot for me. I’ve tried hundreds of fixed blades amd none were as comfortable.

Wish that I still had one!

Had to look this one up, was interested. Looks very much like a regular fixed blade, not like a spyderco at all. I do think it’s funny that they have to put a hole on fixed blades… 😂
