What is the most ergonomic fixed blade handle? 🤔

Interesting. Hopefully you are OK that I have posted this in the DEK thread, too.

No judgement, I have 3 x DEK1 and 2 x DEK2, obviously I like them. Just for me, the knife is a little more special purpose than - say - the CPK field knives.

Totally ok with that bro 🙂

I think it is extremely comfortable. I really enjoy the locked in feeling of it. I found the Field Knives just to neutral.

Probably not what the OP had in mind, but this is my favorite handle. I used this Meyerco machete a few hours a day, usually three days a week, for a year and half, looking for property in rural Florida suitable for my wife's sheep. I sweat a lot when the heat index is over 100F, and my hands get slippery. This handle never slipped out of my hand. Never gave me a blister. And the D protected my knuckles from a lot of brambles.

I like the top and bottom edges of a handle to be broken even all the way to the middle but I want a flat on either side. I like a spur where the handle meets the blade but only 1/2 a finger height at the bottom, front end. No guard. I'd have that profile follow to the rear of the handle; maybe rounded on the top a little, like a kitchen knife.
I'm good with a Kephart or Nessmuk profile; Nessmuk skinner; Kephart slaughtering/boning/ slicing knife if the handle has no sharp edges except as described above.
I've boned out a couple of Elk using a Stockman knife in my younger, less prepared/foolish days. I'd try it again if there was a big cooler nearby.

The only reason I didn’t post a pic of a Hellrazor is because I don’t personally own one. My son does, and I felt the same way first time I handled it. Like an extension of the hand.

I wanted to respond to your post the other day, but got busy. (*When I saw that the thread was up & running again tonight, I thought, "Oh well, what the hell? Better late than never.")

Here's how enigmatic the Hell Razor 2 handle/scales are for me...

I cycle through all of my hardcore fixies around once every few days. I'll throw one in my truck, use it for a few days, and then switch to another. Every time I grab a Hell Razor 2, during a "rotation", the grip is so fitted to my hand that it's like I'm holding it for the first time. It's crazy.

To this day, the ergos on that thing still blow me away.

I have fixies with full-on "guards" (*top & bottom) that don't feel locked in my hand the way that particular knife does. (*Sorry, just sippin' some Jack & Zero and thinkin' out loud at this point)

Carry on...
