What is the most expensive knife you have gifted?

maybe a h1 Dragonfly i gave to my GF. acquired it for about 100$ USD. i live overseas and knives sometimes more expensive about 30-50%

Ive given a few, nothing too expensive (yet)...

Couple kershaws and victorinox cadets to some buddies that were getting into knives...

cool thing is 1 of them carries his cadet everywhere =D

A little keychain SAK. Most of my friends aren't into knives and don't see the use of carrying one, even AFTER having had to borrow mine before. Others see the use of carrying knives, but don't collect them or have any interest in them beyond what they already carry. My dad falls into this category too. He carries a knife with him all the time, and finds it very useful to have around...but for him, his Case Mako is all he needs, he has no interest in getting anything else. And the few I know who ARE into knives...are already willing to spend a lot more on knives than I am and have much bigger collections than me as is.

I gave my youngest son a J.H.Lloyd lanny’s clip with antique linen micarta scales. He drooled over it for a while,I knew it would be in good hands. Well that’s what parents are for .

Just last week I gave this William Henry as a gift to someone who help me with a business issue.

My church has an annual "Murder Mystery" production and dinner. Last year the producer got a characture artist to do drawings of the attendees. Instead of a fee, the artist said he would take merchandise in trade instead, and specifically mentioned knives. I donated a NIB large Millenium Sebenza as payment to the artist.

Just about anybody close to me gets a knife gifted for one occasion or another... Usually in the 50 to 100 range... Lately it has been a mix of Vics, Spydercos, and a few "better than standard" Buck 110s for the old school crowd.

I donated a Buck 112 Engraved to a young man on here whose Dad said his Son was going on his first Hunting Trip and did not know what to get him so I just up and sent him the Buck and he was very surprised that I would send something like that to skin or gut a Deer. As far as I know he did not get one this year.
Xmas exchange I floated another Engraved Buck 112 and was well appreciated as well as I was with a Knife sent my way.! Over the years I would like to know that all the Knives I have donated have been put to good use and enjoyed.! Blade Member in Il. has a nice 110.! I know he really likes it.! I just enjoy people being happy and surprised that they get something free with no strings attached.! Thats all.****

Gave a computer graphics Sebenza to one of my son's, and a cf ZDP Stretch and a Military to the other. Also gave them many others knives as well.

I just gave my mom a Fiddleback Forge KPH with a Rick Lowe Custom Sheath for her Birthday. She loved it.

I can't say I've gifted a knife to anyone other than my wife up until now. She's gotten a couple of Benchmades and a Kershaw but really it's our money so I don't consider them gifts.

Saying that we were at my parents for Mother's Day and I brought a few nice blades over to show my dad as we'd been talking about a pair of matching Boker knives we had probably 30 years ago.
I brought a Sebenza, ZT 560CBCF and a 550 along with a full custom folder with mosaic bolsters, mammoth tooth scales, damascus blade along and ti liners.

He really seemed to be digging them and with his 72nd birthday coming up in the next week I'll probably buy him a knife seeing as he's pretty hard to buy for. If I can get a hold of my guy I'm guessing I can get him a very nice damascus folder for around 300 dollars... I have until Monday :)

Gave my best friend a benchmade 810, Thankfully, I posted on what happened to him , a few months ago, he got attacked on the side of the road and the knife saved his butt.

I bought my niece a ZDP-189 dragonfly for her 18th birthday. She always liked mine.

I bought my best friend a sharpmaker for Christmas.

I gave my brother in law a ZT 0350 so he would have one like my other brother in law as well as myself. We all EDC one now,

i gave a microtech scarab d/e all black tactical serrated to my brother when he moved out to go to university
