I gifted is a BM760 to frd during his birthday 2 years ago.

what is the most expensive/valuable knife you have gifted for a frd or family?

I've gifted some Bark River knives to family members who hunt. That was a few years ago when Bark River were more affordable. Nowadays... checking current prices... I probably wouldn't.

Spyderco Sage 1. i don't know anyone that cares for nice knives.

I've given away knives in the $200 range to repeat customers of mine.

A couple of years ago I gave a Spyderco Pacific Salt to a friend. This year I gave him a Benchmade Griptilian. My wife is threatening an intervention if I don't stop buying for myself. Getting to see the big brown truck driver a little too often. If we meet the truck on the road she asks ' What did you buy this time?'

I gave a friend a CPM154 Blur. It's not too valuable, but he NEEDED a new knife and I barely carried it.

BM - Pink Mini-Griptilian for my girl $70
Alan Folts - Ti Minimalist for Mom $140
CRKT - Lg Razel for my buddy $130
and I'm pretty sure the only one that gets used is the Minimalist.

I gave my wife a small dog paw Sebenza 4 years ago. It's her EDC now. I gave two of my Sebenza 21s to family members that live in AK this year for Christmas. Those are more in the nature of "inherited" than just given as gifts. They'll get my Martin D28 when it's time as well.

You should just get your packages delivered to those UPS express stores or whatever they're called.

I gave my newest best friend and fishing buddy a Spyderco Caly 3 after I saw the pocket knife he had been carrying for most of his life. He just turned 70 yrs old. Even he didn't know what that old knife was or when he got it, but it was a gentleman's folder that had been used and sharpened so much that the blade was less than half it's original size. More like a large toothpic than a knife blade. I couldn't stop laughing at that old knife. I figured that if he used a pocket knife that much, he deserved a really good one. He shows everyone his Caly 3 and can't stop talking about what a great knife it is. He likes clipping it to his pocket which he never could do with the other knife. He still has his old knife for sentimental reasons but he doesn't carry it anymore. I told him that, if he goes before I do, I want him to will that old knife to me. And, if I go before he does, that he can have my entire, and substantial collection of knives, because I know that he will use them and care for them better than anyone else that I know.

Back about 8 years ago, i gave a friend who was *really* into knives my Buck Buckmaster 184 1985 model year. He loved it!

I gifted my son his first custom this Christmas. It is a Bob Dozier KS7 Wilderness, in D2, of course!

A Reese Weiland framelock Emerson cqc7.

Gave a friend of mine a CRK Small Sebenza. Bought it for about $600, due to the stores price hike-up. He never carries it or uses it I think, but I don't care, he's got it in his drawer, and I'm sure one day he'll say "I really should have had that knife on me that day." Besides, I'm just glad I got to give him something.

I don't have anything to hide. It's all in good fun. She just likes to "break em" every so often whether the truck is stopping or not. She teases me that I can only use one at a time. I tease her about her being maternity on leave for going on 13 years. Then I apologize.

I gave a KaBar Marine knife to my pastor. He'd carried one when he was leading a marine rifle squad in '68 in Vietnam. He'd told me that he had given his away when he came home and that he still missed it. So I gave him a new one.

My Grandpa gifted me a CRK LG 21 Sebenza last Christmas at 375-400 $ it's by far the most valuable knife I own.

Gave my brother a SOG flash 2 tanto and my sisters BF a CS Recon 1 tanto this year. I've given my sister a polished leek and a CS urban pal recently aswell.
