Ok, this should be fun and maybe even productive. I'd like to hear each persons idea for a knife that they want/need/would buy if only someone would make it! I know manufacturers and reps regularly participate in these forums, so lets use our collective experience to throw some good ideas out there.
My idea is that everyone comes up with a knife that not only THEY want, but a knife that would appeal to many and would actually make sense and be profitable for a company to produce. At the end I'm going to pick a winner (which is silly since its only my opinion) but whatever, everybody likes to be told their idea is "the best". And who knows...I could be a well known knife maker masquerading as a bozo trying to get a feel for the market! I'm not, I'm just a bozo, but lets pretend! ;-). If there's enough interest, maybe we can even start a new thread or two on some of the better ideas. I think many in the knife industry are pretty good about listening to their customers. So u never know, somebody might actually end up getting what they want.
Ok, I'll go first. Per another thread I started on the spyderco forum, I would like to see spyderco make a dragonfly xl and release it simultaneously in a regular and "salt". Or a manix 2 lightweight in "salt" version. Ok, I already broke my ONE idea rule, but whatever. ;-).
