What is the one knife you regret purchasing

Boker Subcom Fixed Blade. Crappy uneven grinds, poor finish (bead blasted), and a sheath that didn't fit. I thought about selling it, but I would have felt bad taking someones money for it. I ended up throwing it in the trash.

Its not the first time I've been unimpressed with a Boker product. I'll never buy another one of there knives again.

Geber Paraframe......lock failed terribly and then when I tried to take it apart to see what I could do to fix it the damn screws stripped.....

a $2.99 keychain folder i bought in the checkout line at Cabelas last friday. i needed to spend $0.01 more to qualify for a $150 gift card though and it was the cheapest thing on the counter. i would have just bought a $5 box of ammo, but i didn't want to get out of line or hold people up so i could go grab it.

fwiw, my big purchase at Cabelas that day was a Marlin 1894C lever action in .357mag. :)

The last SAK I bought has everything on it but the kitchen sink, but it's too fat to EDC. It makes me look like a horny teenager.

It was a DA folder offered by Greg Lightfoot in association with Microtech. They were all serialized, the one I wanted had an acid-washed blade.

Good man! I want a Leg Lever in .357 so bad... Puma and Rossi both make one though neither of those companies would be my first choice. I have a marlin 336 in 30-30, they do a nice quality lever gun.

I want to say my CRKT m16, but that knife made me realize how much I dislike chisel grinds, combo edges and tanto blades.

So it'll be the Ka-Bar Warthog folder, I think I paid $12 for it. It's a POS China made knife with a poor blade material (wasn't expecting much but the thing has no edge retention) and poor craftsmanship. :thumbdn:

Actually, I regretted buying some of my favorite knives. Most noteably my first Sebenza, and my first Emerson, because they are addictive and I had to get more which kept me broke.

Aaah, you should have sended it to me! :(
Always been interested in that knife. Too bad to hear you didn't like it..

My SOG Twitch XL, nice materials but loose blade play. CRKT MyTigh and M21. Actually well made, but of lesser materials quality. I purchased these before I new any better and if you add up the cost of all three, I could have bought one really nice folder.

Hello fellow M16 owning, chisel grind-tanto-combo-edge hating friend :D

My CRKT M16-10Z. The first knife I bought, and the one that got me into collecting. If only I knew then what I know now. AUS4, tanto tip, chisel grind, partially serrated. But at least I learned everything that I don't like at once.

I deeply regret buying my first Busse. It only cost me $275 but it hooked me into a habit that's cost me thousands since, and no end in sight. Life took a turn for the worst... :D

Yeah once you buy your 1st INFI it's all over, you are hooked forever. :D

Zephyr One/Zero, are you saying that you wish you hadn't bought the Lightfoot Microtech? If it is an LCC and you still have it, let me know.......maybe we can workout a trade of some sorts. I'd love to have a replacement for the one I lost.
