What is the one Spyderco that you feel every collector should have at least one of?

The title says it all.

I am curious to see what everyone thinks.

No right or wrong answers.

All feedback is welcomed.

Just a friendly question to see what I may be missing or may need to add to my collection.

I personally think that everyone collecting Spyderco's should have at least one Delica.

Edit: I am loving all of the feedback on this question. I didn't realize at the time of posting this the can of worms that might be opened. Any chance we can get a pic with your choice/suggestion would be awesome. Just in case anyone new to Spyderco knives is looking. Gives everyone something to reference :)

I like where your head's at! The Delica was my first spydie and it kicked off my addiction. I now have 3 of them: the gray original, hi vis orange, and superblue.

Let me be the first to say: PM2. When you're new to knives, spending $100+ on one seems a little silly. If you try real hard I'll bet you can remember when you thought this way. However, after buying the PM2, you'll see what a deal you really got. Amazing value for the money, and a super high quality cutting tool. Also, it features the compression lock, a Spyderco innovation.

I really like the Delica/Endura/PM2 knives but I would say you should get the "Worker", the first knife that Spyderco ever produced when they got into the knife business. They started out selling knife sharpeners, the triangle Sharpmaker, and probably after sharpening tens of thousands of crummy knives at gun shows, they decided they could make one that was better than anything out there. Hence, the "Worker" was born.

here is good short YouTube of the "Worker"

For top end you can't beat the Spyderco automatics, Citadel, Embassy, etc. I also am a big fan of the ATR model which is out-of-production and hard to find.

Depending on your size preferences these should fit the bill with a bunch of steel and scale choices as well. Collect 'em all!
Military or Paramilitary
Delica or Endura
Caly or Sage or Chaparral

I agree with the OP- the Delica is an awesome knife, my first spyderco and did a good job of creating an addiction!

Out of all of the Spydies that I have my Delica's are my Fav's and the ZDP189's are also my Fav's in the Delica line.!**
There is no such thing as "two many Spyderco Knives"..!^^

Personally I think if anyone who's never had a Spyderco before was given one of their value folding knives, (Ambitious, Persistence, Tenacious, or Resilience) they'd be very happy with the knife they got...and they wouldn't even know what they got was a starter knife from this great company.

Delica for the first Spydie, military next, Native 5 to experience evolution of back lock.

PM2 sprint a little down the road (choose your flavor) so you can carry and use a knife that probably you will be the only person who ever actually knows the exclusivity of the blade being used to cut your sandwich.

Let me be the first to second this... :)

Let me be the first to third this? I'm confused now!?

Lotta bang for the buck in the PM2. I just picked up a more expensive blade and couldn't help thinking the PM2 kicks butt.

I remember having those first few sticker shocks! Lol

This post is probably going to end up costing me a fortune as I see I am going to be purchasing some new knives! Thanks to all for your input!

I have been lurking around here for awhile but was never really active. I am glad that is no longer the case as I can feel the appreciation for the knives and peoples here on the forums

The reason I recommend the Delica is it's affordable without feeling cheap. Hard to beat it..

The Delica is the classic Spyderco, but of current production I would recommend the Military or maybe the PM2.
