I actually have a shop that is maybe 20 square foot, becuase it is a bench and the area behind it. and nothing else. however, I can use most of the rest of the farm for a place to work if i absolutely have to.

I have a one and a half car garage aprox. 14'x14' my wife was informed before we moved in that there would be no parking in my workshop.

My boss gave me an 8'x16' Job Shack trailer I move into it with my tools this week...:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D
I've had my 2"x72" and 9" disc at Greg Haile's the last couple months while moving.... :(
I'm building an awning next to the trailer for my forge, a couple of my anvils and my 6" post vise and stand. That space will be around 4'x12'.

Well the point is to know what most people have as far as space is concerned and I thought that this was a good range to include most.
And of course if you have more than 600 sq ft I am green with envy and really don't care if it's 720 or 834 or... :p;)

I'm in between the 2 car and the hangar. Got an oversized 3 car garage and feel pretty lucky. And no, no parking.

I had to go with the Jumbo Jet hanger as you did not have a size for mine, my current shop is 20'X40' so that is currently 800 sq ft. Hope to add another 20'X30' to this year for a dedicated smithy.

Never big enough, never bright enough, never enough bench space, never enough outlets, never enough drawers,

Never enough $ to do anything about it.

A small corner in my appartment with 2 very cluttered tables, a 1x30 belt grinder, a dewalt 8" bench grinder and a JET dust filter, all cordoned off by a tarp hung from the ceiling. Not much, but it gets the job done

Mine is 600 enclosed with another 500 covered awning attached to the building. And I still want more room.

Im very lucky to have a 30x40 metal building on a slab.I ran my shop on an extension cord to the house for about a year. But recently had a line tied in and a breaker box with some plugs around the shop.I only have about 1/4 of it set up for knifemaking, well maybe a third.Otherwise its mowers, storage, and all kinds of junk like that.Next step is to get water and sewer out there.Wife isnt so happy about me doing cleanups in the kitchen sink.

Well , mine is 32 X 24 that is in feet , not inches . But I only get 1/2 of it , the rest is storage . I'm in a 12 x 32 work area .

My shop is my garage that I've converted into my workspace. It's roughly 400 square feet, but I have to share space for some family stuff....washer/dryer, some storage, misc. junk etc. I do have the lion's share of space though for sure:D

I'm very thankful for a supportive wife who has never once complained that she can't park her car in the garage anymore!

Mine is 25x35, or 875 sq. ft. not counting the covered side area, which is the coal forge area/scrap pile.

I make due with about 9-1/2' X 21'. It's tight, especially with the cabinet table-saw in the middle... but it works for me. Someday I'll have more space; but until then, I'll consider myself blessed with what I've got.

Mine is divided between the wood shop, 22'x30', not including the shed on the back where the cyclone dust collector is located, and the front bedroom of my house.
