There is a dedecated busse sale forum. The obvious way find the knives value is to do some searching there.
Exactly! Its becoming more and more difficult to figure old knife values nowadays because of a select few who decided to abuse the system. That would have worked some years ago, when almost all sellers left the price up. But practically overnight, it it switched and almost all sellers now delete the price.
I hate that.

I used to leave prices up and also hated it when people removed prices, but then stumbled upon one of the many threads complaining about it and read that some do it to protect the buyer's privacy. as innocent and inconsequential as it seems at first, I eventually bought that... it seems respectful. is that bad? or a not-good-enough reason?

It's a good enough reason if the buyer requests it, but I doubt they ever do.
I have had many buyers request it be removed, especially overseas buyers.
