What is (was) Spyderco’s best model(s)?

Sage 2. Best knife I've ever owned period. Followed closely by the Manix 2 and Ladybug series. The Native 5 and chaparall might make the list...I'll let you know when the ti versions hit the market. I have a suspicion that the sage 2 might be knocked into second place by the techno. Can't wait for that knife.

I've sold many good models, but the ones i've kept, and use, are the best models for me...

Military... I mainly use my CF BG42, but have several others I like alot as well.
PARA Military...Use black G10 S30V, but will swap to the Foliage Green when they come out.
UKPK... FG G10 drop point.
Sage... Sage1
Endura...Old early 90's model

I'll put my favorites into categories>> First of all in the Hawkbill category I use my G-10 Harpy the most but the H-1 Spyderhawk is a close second.

Second my favorite EDC is the Military

Third my favorite Self defense blade is the Massad Ayoob

Fourth my favorite fixed blade is my ol' reliable Temperance 1> FB-05 model

my favorite outdoor knife is the new H-1 Catcherman

But really there are very few Spyders that I dislike. JD

I would have to say from a value and endurance perspective the Delica. I personally think its the Sage 2

I'd give the nod to the Endura/Delica which seem to have evolved into the Military/Para-Military2.
But it sure doesn't stop there. ;)

I have to say that in the short time I've been collecting and lurking on this forums, (a little over a year) a bunch of different late model Spyderco's have gone through my hands and I must say they were all exceptional knives. I have yet to hold/own a Spyderco that doesn't feel amazing in the hand and didn't come with an absolutely stupidly sharp edge.

The ones I've kept are the ones that are my favs: Military, Para 2 and Delica's in any flavor.

I think the Yojimbo 2 is gonna replace the Para 2 for a while when it comes out because I've really fallen in love with the Wharncliffe blades shape and combining that with the Comp-lock is just music to my hands.

BG-42 Military.

Military, by a mile.

I have Militarries in CPM D-2, CPM S90V and CPM M-4. I'll soon have one in B-U M390! And I hope someday to have one in K390! :p

Interesting to see how frequently Millies and Para Millies feature on folks' lists. Allow me to admit that I am by choice a fixed blade enthusiast however I understand the benefits of folders. I have had several Spydies but moved to a variety of other brands (I know sacrilege to admit on this forum but there is a 'but')...

...but I have to say what amazing production quality and value for money Sal and his team produce. Huge kudos folks!

I have a dragonfly tucked in my boot at all times and I EDC either a UKPK or my recently purchased Para 2 depending upon where I am and what I'm doing. If dumb-ass laws weren't a limitation the Para 2 would be permanently in my pocket - I think it is the best value/quality combination production folder made. Just MHO but I will be buying more without a doubt.

When I got my Paramilitary 2 I was amazed. I understood all the hype instantly. It's a decently larger knife and its super light!
