What is you favorite 4" or under fixed blade ?

My favorite and sharpest is the snody boss.

If he had made a double-bevel version of that, I would have jumped on it in a heartbeat! Being a lefty, though, the right-handed chisel grind causes me issues when cutting through things.

Thanks so much zeroed4x. It's great when people admire your work. I have a few more fixed blades I have made that are under 4". I mostly create blades alittle larger than 4". Here is a pic of a stack leather handle with a unique blade design. My dad created this one. By the way, nice to meet you Zero. I am Ten and my dad is Ren. Everyone has some great looking blades. Lets see more.

Pleasure to meet you a s well Ten. That is a truly unique piece. Damascus blades are amazing. I can see that there were many hours of work on this. Fine American craftsmanship, there is simply no substitute.

Here are a couple of mine.

BRK CTS-XHP Prototype.

Andy Roy/Fiddleback Forge.

Thanks Big Mike, whats the story on these two ? They look like they've been getting lots of use, not just sitting in a display or locked up. That hallow ground drop point looks kinda comfy to use.

The HEST ? Is not really a necker, but it works, maybe even better with the scales off.
The blade is a bit over 3 inches, thickness is 0.19", overall lenght 7.63". This one has 1095 steel, treated by Rowen, those who make the ESEE knives. Nowadays you can find various versions of it, with different steels and sheats. Handle scales are removable, and there is a place inside to store stuff.
Sent you an email anyway.

ESEE Izula 2 and Becker BK-11. I also enjoy carrying my little Boker Plus Pocket Bowie from time to time.

The CTS-XHP Prototype is a Bark River - Woodland Special.

Only 30 where made for testing purposes.

I was so impressed with the steel in the one I received for testing that I purchased it.

The Fiddleback Forge knife was one Andy whipped up for the Camp Knife Challenge we did a few years back over in W&SS Forum.

Again, I was so impressed by the performance and ergonomics of the O1 test knife that I made a deal with Andy at the end of the testing.

hands down my becker bk11 and 14 one or the other is with me at all times!!

I love BECKER, I own many of fine knives from them and the BK11 and 14 are great production knives. I've never had a Becker that I didn't love.

I like and can appreciate both very much but the Fiddleback Forge is pretty damned awesome. You are a lucky man to be able to own one of these.
I might have to save some money and give Andy a call some time.

Slightly long for a necker but its a damned nice looking tactical.

Xeroed4x, that is a Dozier K42 Personal in CPM 154. I have one just like that and mentioned it as my favorite earlier in the thread. I've had mine for over a year now and have been quite pleased with the little knife.

DPx Gear HEFT 4 Assault (or DPx Gear HEFT 4 Milspec with SW blade instead of PVD coating) with a 4" long 0.19" thick German Lohmann Niolox 1.4153.03 stainless, high-performance blade steel cryo-hardened to 61 HRC. The HEFT 4 Assault features a hollow G10 handle and an innovative bottle opener/pry bar and lanyard hole all in a well thought out CORDURA sheath.

Mine is actually the Blackwater SPECWAR 4 with a 4" ELMAX blade. It had some design input from U.S. Navy SEALs and has the Trident medallion on the frame. Both manufactured by LionSteel of Italy.

Nothing wrong with having a blade of pure utilitarian nature. Swedish knives are actually good quality. I like the Mora MG84 and a few others they have to offer.
They are inexpensive and that is a plus. I wish they used something other than carbon steel but then again the price would reflect such.

I'm pretty sure there's a stainless version of every Mora I can think of and that Sandvik is pretty good stuff.

I love my little mora for a knife in this class and as a 4incher it nor any other is by no means the only knife I would chose take with me in the woods but it's very nice to have as a dedicated cutting/carving tool paired with machete and mutiltool/SAK
