  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

What is you favorite 4" or under fixed blade ?

Everything that says Snody has a cool factor of 10.

LOL...I saw that and my thoughts were complete opposite. I took one look at the pic and literally, the first thing that came to mind was that no matter how great and amazingly crafted the knife was(I'm sure it's a good knife), I'd be embarrassed to show it with that stupid "$nody" logo on it.

Scott Gossman UFK in S90V and G-10 is my current go to short fixed. I have yet to find an opportunity to get out into the field with it, but I can testify that it will separate BBQ ribs with aplomb. :D

I like and can appreciate both very much but the Fiddleback Forge is pretty damned awesome. You are a lucky man to be able to own one of these.

I might have to save some money and give Andy a call some time.

Check out Andy's Forum here on BladeForums: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/forumdisplay.php/826-Fiddleback-Forge-Knives

Every Friday he puts up a fresh batch to drive us all crazy.

Even if I'm not buying, I do enjoy browsing on Fiddleback Fridays.

I'm pretty sure there's a stainless version of every Mora I can think of and that Sandvik is pretty good stuff.

I love my little mora for a knife in this class and as a 4incher it nor any other is by no means the only knife I would chose take with me in the woods but it's very nice to have as a dedicated cutting/carving tool paired with machete and mutiltool/SAK

I'll have to look at Mora a little more closely. The only Mora knives I've ever seen were high carbon but if they have SS, its a lot more interesting.

Dang it.... guess I'll get rid of all the "Hello Kitty" special editions..... The $nody logo is o.k., Benchmade had success with them.

I see lots of tactical blades on here so I figured I'd post 2 of our custom made ones. It's called the RTK " The Spider" with a blade length of 4.75" and the second picture is RTK "The BlackHawk" with a blade length of 5.50" . Let me know what y'all think.

My personal favorite 4" blade out of those I own is my Fatboy. It's a custom made by Cassel Knives, in Indiana. The blade is 4" of 5160, with a sharpened swedge, the handle is 4" (burl, not sure exactly what kind of wood though).

Both of these look like fine cutting tools. The BlackHawk looks like a clip point skinner on steroids

They sure gave that an appropriate name "FATBOY" is on the mark. I guess you really need and use the bottom hilt and jimping with that monster.

I doubt it was the logo that people liked, but moreso the quality of the blade. And I'm sure Snody makes a good knife, not questioning his skills, but that logo still looks like the same sort of awful logo that you'll find being used by pretty much EVERY wannabe rap star out there, totally cheesy and goofy.
