What is your 2015 knife future?

A Buck 501 with water buffalo covers and a S30v blade from their custom shop is at the top of my 2015 knife list.

Not wanting to be an enabler, but you'll like it. :D

My 2015 is going to be spent looking for a bnit:
green micarta 71
Lambsfoot 71
Some whittler, probably a northwoods

My first came today, a Blood Red jigged bone GEC TIW 54 pattern Moose. I've got a "pick list" of what I'm wanting carried over from 2014; mostly vintage Buck and Case knives, but a few vintage Schrade's and then a couple of specific pattern wants (i.e., Congress Whittler) where any good vintage brand from the USA, England, or Germany would make me happy. OH

So far I plan on grabbing a few of the SFOs coming from GEC in the next few months. I do have one NF in single blade clip, saw cut bone, coming at the end of this month. Past that, who knows but I'm sure something will attract my attention.

Budget constraints notwithstanding, I will be buying as many traditional knives as I can; I'd venture a guess of maybe 5 knives which would make me very happy and bring my collection up to about 30 total, all users.

Seems like everyone is planning on cutting back or selling off. Should be a great year for bargains in the Exchange. Bad year to be in knife selling business. Unless this is like drunks promising to sober up in the new year. :D

I think I remember (can't rely on my memory for much, but I think I remember) that last January there were many posts saying that forum members were cutting back, selling off, "thinning the herd." I myself resolved to only buy 6 new knives in 2015. I managed to keep it to 10 new knives in 2014. I suspect that others here did the same. If the economy doesn't decline, I'll bet on 2014 being a very good year for the makers of traditional knives!

This year, I resolve to hit the flea markets and antique stores in search of vintage bargains!

I would still love to get some sort of beerlow type blade. I missed on the 2011 forum knife and have been trying to find one ever since

I only own 1 old Barlow so I am hoping to find a TC Barlow this year. I just received my first GEC 15 boys knife and love it .

I'm going to finally buy a nice traditional :)

Still love my moderns but the traditionals are growing on me

A GEC, still thinking hard on which model should be the first. It will probably a #54 moose, because that would be a real work-knife.
And I'm having a Paeremes made, it's a traditional pattern only seen in Zeeland, the Netherlands, where my granddad was from.

I have a yen for a current production Klein electrician's knife. (nee TL-29). I also am thinking of acquiring an Otto Messer anchor knife.

I was just bitten by the traditional bug in the last couple months. I plan on picking up a few basic Case patterns when the mood strikes as they are pretty inexpensive. I have a birthday coming up next month. I thought about treating myself to a GEC of entry level pricing. Nothing fancy at all.

I do plan on poking around around the vendor mall and antique shops for some vintage goodies.

Congrats on your 1000th post, and it had a picture of Spock! Thanks for your great contributions to this weird little community, MercyfulfateXX!

And just to stay on topic... I see orange Delrin in my future!
