What is your all time favorite knife

Three grail knives for me which I feel lucky to have (sorry, can't narrow it to one!).

A Dogleg Jack by Jared Oeser. A man at the top of his game making what is best described as a modern traditional. Super practical as an EDC too with a beautiful Hollow grind.

That Oeser is fantastic. Reminds me a lot of the Case Bose collaboration knives. Would love to get a knife similar to that in a super steel like S90V.

Tie between Spyderco Manix 2 Foliage Green CTS-XHP sprint and the Gayle Bradley. PM2 is not far behind.

Spyderco Paramilitary 2

I can't get over the amazing ergonomics and the clean, sharp look. The blade steel (CPM S30V) is fantastic and the high-traction digital camo G-10 feels great and looks great. Also, the compression lock is very strong. And having a Spyderco in my pocket is nice, too.

This is a tough question, but I carry this one the most.

And this one was the 1st knife I bought that cost more than a $100.

Has to be my Spyderco Police Model. I had a Buck 110 as far back as 10yrs old. However the thrill started when I first saw Spyderco Workers, and manifested with my first purchase of a Police.

My favorite knife of all would be the Spyderco Chinook. I've owned a few and deeply regret selling them.

BG-42 Large Regular Sebenza.
And since we can name a second I'll go with a BG-42 Small Regular Sebenza as my second.

I wish we could mention a third so I could mention the BG-42 Carbon Fiber Military, but I guess I better not:p

Overall out of knives I own I think that honor goes to my Kershaw Tilt,...I love my Sebbie & Umnum, Curtiss F3, and Striders but I love the Tilt and would love one in DLC for a pair. Next would possibly be my Ti Military, BM 975 or one listed above.

Thanks,

-Joe

My most recent purchase is usually my favorite for awhile, but if I'm really objective about it I'd have to say it's my Umnumzaan.

My favorite fixed blades so far are Cold Steel Tai Pan and Blackwater Ursa. Folders are EnZo Pk70 and Spyderco Sage2.

Victorinox Swiss Army Soldier, I have been carrying one for... since I can remember. I have worn out two of them and I am currently on my third, with a fourth new in the box for when I wear out the one in my pocket. I use the tools as much if not more than the blade. Plus the large flat screwdriver is perfect for the action screws on my rifle.
All those gorgeous single blade knives may cut like the dickens but they make lousy screwdrivers. :)

DocT, can I ask where you got the Tim Gable knife? Does it have a date etched on it? I made that knife probably 25-30 years ago. It still looks pretty good. D2 is a great blade steel. Thanks, Tim

Damn of my safe queens it's the Bodega

From the users it's the XHP PM2 and BM 550

You might not get a quick reply, this is an old thread
