What is your Avatar?

Former cat with a Surefire U2 (too bad they stopped working on it...) thought was cute. :D

Another zombie thread resurrection.

As mentioned on page 1, my username is my last name.

And you know what my avatar is. A result of various not so clever friends throughout my life associating Kirkwood with ole James Tiberius and calling me captain. Plus, Kirk is pretty darn cool. :)

Well, since I was a young little brat, I've dreamed and envied those that were associated with flight. I spent too much time daydreaming about different forms of flight.

So when old enough, I took a leap, and did some sky diving. It was fun, but it was the pilot that intrigued me most. So started flying lessons.

As a broke college student, I failed to afford to complete. Fast forward 15 years, and I got another urge, and took a few paragliding lessons. Got certified, built some hours up, flew a couple of Hawaiian islands....then took a helicopter tour, that got me thinking about flying again.

Came home from our Hawaiian trip and jumped right back into flying lessons again that same week. Finally getting my private.

So yeah, sometimes I'd rather "B-Flying". [emoji41]. The avatar is of me nearing the LZ after launching from 6,700 feet up Haleakala in Maui.

I love photographing eagles... This is one on the ground in Alaska..

My daughter loves looney tunes, and my avatar is a screenshot from one of her favorite episodes.

My best buddy, Tuukka... My wife named him after the goal tender for the Bruins, Tuukka Rask. She just liked the name. Fit's though. His momma was a Mastiff and his daddy was a mutt-black lab cross that jumped the fence and got lucky.
He's the best friend a person could ask for. "Fogdart" is a reference to trying to fly small aircraft on the Oregon Coast in the winter time....kinda' like 'lawndart'. And if you're dyslexic, it's 'Dogfart'.

Mine is a solid silver Steal Your Face belt buckle that was giving to me by a friend many, many years ago. It was hand made back in the late 80' by Stanley Owsley (Bear) as he was also known as. He was the sound guy for the Grateful Dead for a few years. He slso changed the way band amplified their music back then and came up with the idea of the wall of sound in the 60's and 70's for the Grateful Dead. My user name is my favorite Grateful Dead song.

My avatar is a fat kid with a big sharp knife... Cartman with a Bishop will make anyone respect his authoritah!

Well mine is pretty obvious I guess, Its just one of my camp knives. They are my favorite type of knife to make.

The Maxx!
An old Image Comics character from the 1990s. Had a cartoon on mtv at one time also.

Changed avatar a while ago. So now it is a picture of my freediving fins and mask...

I always get a kick out of your avatar Will as south park is something i still enjoy. I like how you switch up the knives too :)

My avatar is a picture of a fat man with a permit caught just off Egmont Key. I will probably rotate it with one of my three dogs at some point and eventually with a picture of a different freshly caught fish (hopefully held by a skinnier guy).

I guess I could change my avatar to an ARK or Camp Defender, but it's just a picture of me from 2002, while on active duty at Fort Lewis. I still look pretty similar. Face might not be quite as lean.

As for my forum name, there are a lot of myths associated with ghosts, some of which fit into my personal combat philosophy...
