On vacations and such I always bring my Spyderco Endura 4 for the beach, but im thinking of buying the spyderco salt that is the same size as the Endura. What is the knife that you carry to the beach with you?

Any stainless knife works for me. If it ends up interacting with saltwater, a freshwater rinse and a dry are all that is necessary.

Spyderco Pacific Salt, black/pe, with a small orange paracord lanyard. I probably should carry the full serrated version for this particular steel and intended use, though.

I clip this to the inside of my side pocket on my board shorts.

Whatever goes in my pocket that morning, I don't have any in my current rotation that I can't easily take apart and clean

I've got a dragonfly salt, fully serrated "spyderedge" or whatever. That's usually my life-jacket knife though.
Other than that, my tanto grip w/orange handle. It's been beat to hell, shot, etc. so it'll take anything.

Spyderco Pacific salt. It is the only way to go! This has been up and down the east coast. In Oceans, rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds, pools. I'm getting the serrated version next.

I carry a Spyderco Salt 1 SE. Clip it IWB in my board shorts and wear it to snorkel, boogie board, body surf, fish etc. Swish it around in the ocean to get any sand out and it's good to go. Lightweight, tough and absolutely no maintenance due to salt water.

Opinel Inox.

The joint and lock don't fail when fouled with sand.
If the joint and lock on this knife don't fail when exposed to sand, that is great. Most folding knives have big problems when exposed to sandy conditions. Fixed blade knives sometime face legal issues, but a small fixed blade knife in stainless steel is still the best for working around salt water and sand;)

Spyderco pacific salt goes on every beach trip/fishing trip. Perfect knife for my saltwater needs. Never clean it either. Just a rinse in the salt water and it's good to go.

The beach is about 12 hrs away and I take an assortment of knives when I travel. My CRKT Minimalist is what I had while on the beach last year.

I don't go to the beach much (I'd rather be out in the woods), but the last time I did, I too carried an Endura 4 (FFG, VG-10). But I also had a fixed blade with me - the super-light BRKT Aurora LT (with matching firesteel, which I did use, btw, the night these pics were taken last summer):

I was also in Brazil for 3 months this winter (their summer) and the Salt was really the only knife I could carry there. All the super steels started rusting very quickly and had to be left in the room.

Spyderco delica ffg in waist band.Ocean and pool all the time, just rinse it off no problem.

I'm a very white 40yo American family man, so I burn easily & carry a few extra lbs brought on by the crippling stress & pressure of being a 40yo American family man. What I'm saying is, when I go to the beach, I'm fully clothed. Jeans, shirt, open carry 8" - 14" OAL fixed blade knife, boots. And a hat if I remember, 'cause I'm also bald (sorry ladies, taken). My beach knife is identical to my anywhere else knife - it's whichever one happens to be in the rotation that day, though yes, most of my knives do have stainless steel blades.
