What is your beach knife?

Dragonfly 2 ( my wife's actually) for the last few years. Carried this during our Asia trip this winter into and it was wet, humid, and sweaty the whole time.

My spyderco endura did just fine last year at the beach. Just rinsed with tap water each day. Would love to get a pacific salt though.

it would be a spyderco h1 model, however i do not own one therefore I would bring the beater endura 4. It can handle the beach.

I use my Mission MFK-1 at the beach. Plain edge 4" blade, drop point, skeletonized frame, lanyard hole, and pocket clip.

The Spyderco H1's are perfect for beach/ocean trips. Also some sort of Stellite 6K folder too. I never go out to the beach fishing without my Stellite knives, love them!! H1 is in a fishing backpack, backup.

Really nice stuff there, Dan! Well done.

I've got a pacific salt pe in yellow frn, no chance you could break it unless you tried to pry apart a brick wall. I don't find the edge retention that great though, I prefer my serrated edge h1.

Live in Michigan so salt water is not an issue. Wore a c.r.k.t. spew because I didn't care if it got lost or ruined as it is a piece of crap.

Do you find it to be flimsy because the lack of liners? That is really what is holding me back from buying it.

I have never been in a situation that I was concerned about the lack of liners. It's one of those things you think would be a problem, but it really isn't. I don't find it flimsy at all.

Hi! For my personal "beach use" I find it just perfect . "Missing" liners have never been an issue for me with the Pacific Salt. Solid knife by all means. I agree 100% with Shanks4300 and Pokerchip. The PE is a sort of trade off for me. For sure SE it's better performing on e.g. nylon ropes, HDPE tanks, hoses, fishing lines and that kind of stuff usually found around docks and on board sailing/fishing boats; on the other hand, for all my other vacation tasks, I find PE is more versatile. My long version here:

I can only recommend this one :). It's a fantastic holidays EDC.

It will flex if you really force it. You should have no worries about breaking or warping, though. FRN is a tough beast.

I am not really attracted to the ocean and beaches, but when I am there, I generally have a SAK on me in my pocket. If pocket space is at a premium, then I carry the Vic Bantam.

Brought my Millie, and then my Sebenza. Sand in both of the pivots despite me wearing jeans and them staying in the pocket while I fished. No more knives at the beach for me! Well, that's a lie, they just stay in the truck....
