What is YOUR best knife??

Chris Reeve Large Classic Sebenza with dual silver thumb studs. None of the others come close (though I like them too :)).

Best folder: Spyderco Manix cuz to me its everything i wanted in a folder.
Best fixed: Camp Tramp cuz i know i can use and abuse it and it will still ask for more.

For me there are two knives:

Large Classic Sebenza with micarta inlay
Sean O’Hare Silver Raven

Both knives have excellent fit and finish, are made of top quality materials, and represent a flawless junction between form and function.

Best I would have to say would be my left hand CRK NICA left hand Tanto. Because it's different and I think the grind is exceptional and when I use it and admire it something in my head just says, "oh yeah that's what I think is pretty cool." A close second is my large Classic Micarta Inlay. Great knife not afraid to go out and get dirty and play rough. ;) :p

Anytime I'm in the woods--Becker Combat Utility 7
At work-------------------CRKT M16-14D
Sunday go-to-meetin------Spyderco Meerkat
All other times-------------Kershaw S30V Avalanche

I can list a top 3: 1. Sebenza 2. DMKnives Instigator 3. Rick Hinderer Firetac.

Probably BM 735. It's tough, and I don't worry about banging it up a bit. I just wish I had bought the version without serrations. I never really liked the way it looks, but it had the steel, lock and scales I wanted at that time.

These days, I carry a Boker trapper with stag scales. I carve apples and open envelopes.

Can't pick just one - but then again that's why we're here right?;) ..

Here are my fav top 2 Tac folders and my rotating EDC:

1 - Large Regular Sebenza
2 - Ti Sog vision

To accompany one of the top two if I'm in the woods:
Fixed - Reeve Green Beret

Traditional -
A little back bone handled Surgical Stainlees German Eye - which I might say is the most viciously sharp pocket knife I have ever owned.. but since I just gotta have a clip in my pocket, it stays at the casa..

Probably the CS Vaquero Grande, as it's the most "functional" of all my knives, as well as reasonably lightweight and legal to carry.

The recurved, fully-serrated 6" blade will cut through nearly anything -- although I haven't attempted to saw through a tree branch with it :D .

Used primarily for -- of all things -- food preparation, but it makes a great utility knife and I've used it to chop kindling and clear brush.

I carried this knife for many years, as both a utilitarian tool and a defensive weapon. The long handle can be grasped several ways, and the blade just seems to flow in your hand during freestyle kata.

IMHO, this is the best folding knife available. Kinda hard to cut sandwiches and clear brush with a Sebenza -- although the Sebenza is definitely a higher quality product.

Folder - Scorpious. This knife is my best folder because I am comfortable carrying it in the most situations. Probably my Manix is "better", but I only carry it is select situations.

Fixed - My BRK&T Mikro Canadian for the same reasons as above. I love that little knife and find in on me more than any other knife. This makes it my best. Probably my Fox River is better looking, but again, I carry it only at certain times.

Plastic - probably my Price Chopper brand plastic knives. I feel like they will cut through materials better for longer than other plastic knives. :)

Lots of nice knives but my best...

Hunter: Custom Scott Cook drop point
Fighter: BM Delta Raider
EDC: BM Mini-Reflex
Special mention: BM Skirmish............

Did you say just one?

Most used: 30 yr old Buck 112

customknife

Carbon Steel Fixed--Bark River Gameskeeper w/ Olivewood scales

Carbon Folder--BM 806D2 Axis, the only folder besides the Buck 110 or SAKs that I have more than one of.

Stainless Fixed--Ka-Bar TDI

Stainless Folder--Custom Buck 110, BG-42, Nickle bolsters, Koa wood scales. Pinless.

Hon. Mention--Spyderco Pacific Salt. Victorinox Alox SAKs

Since upgrading my ZDP189 Calypso Jr. to titanium liners and a nice grip it has taken over my pocket. I didn't think much of it with the burgundy FRN handle but did like the blade fine. Now it is seeing a lot more use and I've already been convinced of the edge holding of the ZDP189 a long time ago. It may be more to do with the fact that in it's new life it is tip up carry as to why I like it so much more now but truthfully it just feels good now.

"Best" is hard to determine. Best EDC would have to be either my CJ or the Salt 1 I also fixed to my own liking. Best knife for collecting may be one of several others. It would be hard to pick just one.

It's a REALLY hard decision...but if i can only choose one at the moment it would have to be my Manix. It isn't overly big, or to small, it had a good blade shape, great ergonomics, tough lock and its one hell of a work horse. I have more expensive folders, but dollar for dollar this is my most valuable folder.

Since there can only be ONE best knife I'll will also only mention one knife:
Peter Atwood Goblin tigerstripped

Regards, vC

My Best knife I will have to do one for folder and one for fixed.

Folder: DDR Gunhammer

Fixed: Razorback hunter

I have used both of these knives extensively and I got both of these in 05, as far as the most expensiver the razorback isnt there and isnt the prettiest either, but that knife is the most useful sized and shaped fixed blade for edc and hunting purposes. And if I didnt carry my gunhammer everyday even while hunting the razorback would overtake it.
