What is your craziest gadget?

Steven, I'm afraid those metal chopsticks are not that teeth freindly. :D

Maybe not, but they worked fine for me. Just don't bit down on them too hard!

I don't see why Ti chopstocks wouldn;t be as teeth friendly as other very hard materials. How often do you bite down on your chopsticks? Not often (if ever) if you are good with them...

Right, you shouldn't be biting your chopsticks anyway!

Hehe- us bicyclists worship at the altar of Ti...we'll pay 10 bucks for a couple of nuts to replace steel ones for another microgram of weight saving.... I saw a Titanium chain on sale once....almost 300 bucks. ( a steel chain is under 20.) And, according to the report, it didn't work very well.(actually, Ti endplates and steel rollers)

I have a very odd special-purpose tool for bicycling, it's called a "fourth hand" ( a "third hand" is for holding your brake calipers together while you adjust the shoes.)
The fourth hand is a pliers-like thing that grabs a cable and puts pressure on the brake arm or derrailieur while you make adjustments.

Looks weird, I've shown one to several non-cyclists and they havn't the slightesst idea what it does.

Take your pick:

An Orthovox digital avalanche transceiver.

A sound docimeter for measuring workplace noise levels.

A PVS-7B night vision goggle.

A pair of Black Diamond Cobra ice tools.

I've often wished I had something like that. Do you just go into a bike shop and ask for a "fourth hand", or do they have some French name you're supposed to know?

I have some stainless steel chopsticks from Korea, they´re fine, but my daughter keeps taking them to use in her hair.

LOL. Yummy. I'd carry that around too, if I could just make a kydex sheath for it.

So you metal chopsticks guys carry them around and use them at restaurants and stuff? I know, it's just as crazy as carrying around tactical cutlery... :)

Maybe it's just less strange for you (non-Oriental) people since chopsticks are already something of an out of the ordinary eating utensil.

The craziest gadget i saw was a pair of "Tactical Scissors" in kydex sheath. That guy was wearing in horizontal position on the very back of his waist.

Yea, I just had them with me that day because I wanted to show a fellow shushi-loving co-worker.

I think for kicks I'll order the kydex sheath and wear them around my neck. I'll tell my co-workers that I'm always ready for sushi! :D

Don't trip!

Two pickle forks... Thing about them, no one has them, but when you need 'em, nothing else works.

So, Steve, where does one go to get these? I tried toxictoys.com, but that didn't work.

A pair about 7-8 inches long would be perfect for carrying in a fanny pack, along with my titanium spork. :D
