So it appears that my heart longs for an ebony handled Case / Bose cattle knife from 2015 and who am I to tell my heart no?!
I’ve eyed them with a lustful glance for a couple of years but we all know how fickle lust is as it moves its eye from one desire to another...
However the second I touched the smooth ebony handle of my newly acquired GEC 152213 ( my former grail) my heart sang with joy at the thought of those handles on that cattle knife and I knew it was meant to be...

Tell me of the one that owns your heart, the one you know will finally stop the lustful looks at other knives. Ok ok I’m kidding I know nothing shall quiet the lust but what’s your heart set on as of now?
Oh and how do I convince my wife I NEED A 450.00 knife?

My grail knife would be a #77 barlow with a spear blade with autumn bone handles.( followed by red saw cut and ivory bone) Everytime one comes up for sale I’m always to late LOL. You have to convince the wife it’s a “investment”

Currently, it would probably be a custom fixed blade, but if I were to go with a folder, it would be an A.G. Russell Pinched Peanut. If I were to go super extravagant, it would be rehandled in Checkered Cocobolo or Ebony.

I had my eye on that one on the forum also but I didn't pull the trigger since I was also bidding on my current "grail" knife which is a Case/Bose Lanny's Clip in ebony. Great score on the a GEC!!!

My grail is similar to yours Clay. I "need" ;) a Bose/Case Norfolk. I keep looking, there are some for sale, but I can't pull the trigger for some reason? I had a Bose/Case Cattle knife but just could not get into it. It was amber bone which didn't help. So, I sold it. I generally like single or two blade knives. But the quality of the one I had was indisputable.

Back when evidently I was not too smart I owned TWO Norfolks but ended up selling them. I really didn't need the $$ but the reason was my obsession over a Case CV Swayback Jack that I carried pretty much every day...... I should have kept at least one of the Norfolks :(

Tom, I bought your Chestnut Bone Norfolk from you several years ago. The one in this pic is not the same one but I'm posting the pic to show that I'm still not too smart.:D I can't seem to get enough of them. The Ebony one below was my fifth Case/Bose Norfolk purchase. Maybe if I can just hang onto these two I'll be OK.

Railsplitter... you're killing me :) Both the Chestnut and Ebony look amazing! I do need to find at least one at some point. As a consolation I do have a Case/Bose Lanny's Clip showing up in about a week. No more selling these amazing knives!

I would very much like to spot a Northwoods Michigan Jack in red sawcut bone. That ticks a lot of boxes. Second is a a Sunbrite Beer Scout. Then third is something in Coffehouse Acrylic from GEC.

I think in the last year or so a couple have come up. But they've been US only they get snapped up so fast you can't even negotiate with the seller.

A number of Tom Krein’s knives come to mind, and for folders? Too many:D. Certainly a bird’s eye maple Queen Mountain Man would be fine.
Thanks, Neal

I’m trying not to buy GEC’s outside of current production runs in an effort to feign self control, so my trails are limited.

But FIXED blades are a different story. I have a Treeman Scagel style hunter on order with a leather stack and drop tine butt. It qualifies as a grail because I have no idea when it’ll ship to me.

Hmmmmmmm.......... I hate to say it, but I don’t think that I have a grail right now. I collect scouts, and now prefer stainless steel. I think I already have just about every high quality knife manufacturer’s best effort at making a stainless scout. At least until GEC finally makes me that 440C #35 Scout pattern.

I guess that if I had to force a grail upon myself, it would be an old Remington RS3333 Boy Scout knife. It’s legendary.

I love seeing picks of your Texas camp knife!

Good luck with the Lannys Clip. I hope to see pictures soon.
