What is your current favorite Buck knife?

This 110 is my favorite Buck of all...

What is your current favorite Buck?

THIS ONE!!! It's not mine, but after seeing this pic it has become my favorite Buck.;) Very nice sitflyer!:thumbup:

The favorite Buck that I actually own might be the Vantage, if the total number owned is the criteria to determine favorite.
If the criteria to determine the favorite is the most often carried, than hands down it's a 303.:D
But if the favorite Buck is determined by how I feel about it, than my favorite Buck has got to be a slightly modified, always dependable 301.
I hope someday I'll be able to choose.

I am still new to knives but the Buck Marksman 830 has quickly become my favorite knife.
And to think I only bought it because I found it brand new for dirt cheap.

The 500 for belt carry the 501 for pocket or watch pocket, and the 500 to look at is to my eyes the handsomest of all locking knives...

Favorite... that's a hard word.

Best looking to my eyes is the 112. Something about the lines and interactions of the lines that is just perfect. But my hands are too big for it.

Best feeling in hand and deepest emotional attachment is the 110, no question. Feels great in the hand. But, it's a bit much in the pocket and honestly, it scares people so much that I find I have to think twice about using it in public.

Favorite EDC is the 500. Far and away my favorite in this regard. I get a nice full 4 finger hold and it carries wonderfully in the pocket.

My current favorite is a rams horn 110. Follwed by my buffalo horn 110 knife at a close second.

For Buck knives, my favorite (at the moment) is the 112. Beautiful shape, beautiful feel:

That's the new style with softer bolster contours. But the old style is equally good (two two-dot Bucks):

AreBeeBee,

Wow. I visited Scottsdale for the first time last fall (for a conference). I skipped out and took a walk at the same preserve (I think). Stunning. Unsettling for this New Englander. I prefer deep snow to desert!!

Well, you certainly got your wish this year. (I grew up in the Boston area: Cold slushy winters followed by hot humid summers. Though the mountains in NH and VT are nice.) If you go back to the Phoenix area and have time for a day hike, there are a couple dozen parks and mountain and desert preserves in the valley, run variously by cities and the county (Maricopa). Lots of trail choices from easy strolls to sweaty hikes & rock climbs.

Just choose your time of year to go. If you don't mind dry heat, you're OK up to about late May/early June, then stay away until mid-October.

One rule for desert travel (besides carrying more water than you think you need): Never put any part of your anatomy where you can't see what's there. And don't touch the cholla. Ever. (Read Chris Townsend's Crossing Arizona.)

And to stop thread-drift, here's some more AZ Buckness to finish with — a recent year, rounded-bolsters 110:

My favorite as of right now because I am rotating them daily as an EDC is the alpha folder. All time favorite is 317, love folding hunters.

I have a question about those — are the scales all stock items? Or custom jobs? Great looking!

No love for the 532?

It's still my fav :)

Here's my EDC 532 on the top right... BG42 steel with a mastodon ivory handle :)

And yes I have a couple 110s. The rams horn BG42 flavor on the left is from 1999 when I helped beta test what was then known (if memory serves) as Pete's Designers Choice custom shoppe on the official Buck site. Sold off all my others except what's shown ncluding (groan) a damascus 110 :(

Hm... Probably my 501 custom shop with indigo royalwood scales. Also like my 503 and 55, and there's something about that 309... Hoping I can get my hands on a discontinued charcoal dymondwood version.

I've been carrying my custom 505 Knight in American Oak the last few weeks. It was my first Buck Custom(bought in 2014) and holds a special place in my heart.

Try as I might to have just one favorite I can't do it. I like the 119s, 110s, Bucklites, and really want a Frontiersman. tom.

Right now my favorite is my 501 that I re-scaled in ebony.

Nice job gl!!!:thumbup: The 501 makes a great EDC.

One thing I've noticed about my favorites, all of them are knives I worked on to improve. If that 501 was one I had redone with ebony it would probably be my favorite too, it's definitely been improved. Thanks for showing it. :)
