varga49 I’ve been wanting to try out and EDC Karda! Top of my list right now though is getting a neckmuk - they are so cute.
I carried/carry a EDK frequently. It's one of my favorites Models. The only time I feel like the blade is too short is when i'm cutting up a sandwich.I thought you meant Chipmunk, they are so cute. The neckmuck is a lot more handy. Sorry, could not help myself. I do wonder how the EDC Karda would handle, a good handle but a small blade, I guess more control. Do you ever feel like it is not enough blade? Longer? I guess it depends on how you use it, probably not for kitchen work? Just curious and please give us your thoughts in the EDC Karda. Thanks.

Hey therecbach8tw ! I’ve carried my EDC Karda for about a year now and it’s done everything I’ve asked it to do from basic spoon rough out carving to light kitchen prep. Like @Vance's Dominoe723 , when it comes to cutting a sandwich I go for a bigger blade, and my other favorite, my Gaucho. I like the Karda for every day use because I travel a lot. For trips It packs perfectly and fits in my pocket well even in my bulky mud fence leather works pocket sheath. I have two EDC Karda’s actually as I was able to ve in the right place at the right time when
VANCE sold me one of his!
The Neckmuk or any Nessmuk is also one of my favorites I’ve got one of each except for the Campmuk (on my short list). I find the Nessmuk, with its full belly is particularly useful for skinning out game. That and I’m admittedly attracted to unconventional blade shapes. The EDC Karda on the other hand is, for me more useful for everyday use. That said I would still have no problem taking a Nessmuk with me on a trek.varga49 I’ve been wanting to try out and EDC Karda! I tend to gravitate towards blade shapes of (fiddleback family) knives commonly/jokingly referred to as “stabby”. I have a couple of Gauchos and a couple of the Gaucho’s smaller brother the “Shank”. With the right blade thickness you can cover a lot of needs. I do a good deal of butchering particularly in the fall. From slaughtering to breaking down chickens, ducks and geese, hogs and lambs, to light kitchen prep, to bush craft needs, the Gaucho, for me is more than capable. Thanks, I am also interested in the Gaucho, how do you like it? Thanks for the info.
Tough for me to say, but I continue to return to the Monarch as an all around fixed tool option for day hiking/backpacking/outdoor travel/general woodsbumming and around the house chores:
