Microtech, not listed here.

Of these, probably Benchmade, closely followed by Spyderco and then ZT.

Spyderco is what I carry the most, lightweight, great function an ergos as a general statement.
I can't think of another company that offers such variety of steels, interesting for users and collectors alike.
Took me a while to warmup to it tho, right of the bat he space age designs didn't do it for me.

I may be weird, but I don’t have a single favourite manufacturer.

I love my folding knives from Spyderco, Benchmade, ZT, Steel Will, Grohmann, Buck and a few others.

The companies I own the most knives from are Buck and Spyderco, but I wouldn’t say either is my clear favourite...

I did indeed, mine is laying around 15 miles from here, gonna be here tomorrow afternoon (if that [expletive] courier service that I have a particular hatred for doesn't screw up) :D:thumbsup:

Yes I definitely want to know your opinion on it!
I want one really bad but wont be able to get it in Canada anytime soon...

At the moment Spiderco is leading seconded with ZT and CRK head to head followed by benchmade then Buck who is even with Kershaw followed by Cold Steel... Lets forget Emerson and OKC who I thought do better . I like the Rats, no ???

Where is CKF and Reate? Cause you know, those are my favorites. o_O:D

Yes, I have read your writings on Reate somewhere around here.....

Kershaw! Affordable, great variety, excellent warranty, many very good performers (not all, but who does), and more. If you can't find a Kershaw you like, at a price you can afford, I believe you have a problem (besides being on BF which will kill your wallet), ;)

I love Kershaw flippers; sharp dependable, disposable.

Kershaw is not in the leading choice but have some fervent response.... And i like a couple of their models:)

Within the reputable makers, this is right on the money.

OP, you’ll find that there are people who collect by brand, by steel, by designer, or by individual design. There are a lot of brands putting out great stuff, so you have a lot of great stuff to choose from.

Not very regarding on steels exact specs because I always use a folder between it`s capability. but Kizer, mmmmm.....

I know they weren’t choices in your poll, but still:
Holt Bladeworks or Koenig Knives

I`ve seen that... Mini-Goblin  oh yeah!

My Numbers 1 is Spyderco that said I have stayed away from their Taiwan made stuff. A very close second is ZT .

by far benchmade. love their designs, especially those from warren osborne. also, for me the axis lock beats anything else out there by a country mile

Far too many unmentioned. Does that make them unmentionables???
Case, Victorinox, GEC, AG Russell, CRKT, Lionsteel, Kizer, Opinel, Piranha, Protech, Puma, Otter, Real Steel, Ruike, Rough Rider, Steel Will, SOG, Al Mar, Brous, Mcusta, Northwoods, Rockstead, Shirogorov, Schrade, Hen & Rooster, Two Suns, JE Made, ...

and then the gang on the porch, I know some will want to vote for ones that may not even be in business such as Queen, Canal Street, Schatt & Morgan...

Well they are often inside your pants...so..yes? :D

I picked Spyderco as my vote choice, since they are definitely really good at variety, consistent quality and offer something in every price range.

I voted Benchmade but I could have just as easily voted Spyderco. Both great knife companies making great knives. Everyone else is in the "runner-up" category, in my opinion.

The main reason I post this poll is I have only crappy folding knives. I want to get a better one and would like to know what brand you folks prefer.
Don't make the mistake of thinking that picking the "best" brand will insure you get the best knife for you. Spyderco is a great company and are currently leading in the poll, but there are a bunch of popular Spydercos that have never worked for me as an EDC knife. You might want to included some parameters of what matters to you in a knife and that could direct the suggestions in a more relevant manner.
