What is your favorite (or least favorite) recurring thread or post?

Least favorite:
-Probably were someone asks: "Which steel is better?" and then goes on to compare two knifes that have absolutely nothing in common and steel should be the least concern of the poster.
-The, "Company A vs. Company B" threads.
-"What is the best sharpener". With "best knife" you end up with at least a few suggestions when you do a search, but best sharpener, you get 2 suggestions and that's it...can't be that hard to decide between those two.
-What is the best steel
-Which S30V is better Company A's or Company B's.

Best threads:
Short or not so short reviews, especially with pics.

Least favorite:
"Which knife is better to EDC at work, this [insert name of black plastic Armyboy-wannabe knife], or [insert name of black plastic mall-ninja knife-shaped object]."

Favorite:
Anything with a picture, especially pictures of personal collections or customs.

Any reply that starts with, "I know you have a $...... limit, but for a few more dollars you can get a...... ."

After a few of these, the guy who started with a $100 limit has $350 knives being recommended. Totally pointless.

Also, any critique of a knife when it is apparent that the poster has never touched one, let alone used it.

I totally agree. " I have 25 bucks to spend, what can I get?" and in 3 posts, it's Sebenza..WTF?

Or, I need a knife for SD. GET TRAINING, not a knife. Dummies.

Another I hate:

"Look! So-and-so ripped off so-and-so!"

Then, a discussion where we discover once again that all knives have more in common than not, and they're all "rip-offs" of the first sharpened stone a cave man gave a handle to.

Get a life.

If you had payed closer attention you would have noticed from the grain pattern and artificial knot holes that it was not a true authentic club but a cheap reproduction from the early 2000 BC's...still quite collectible in some neanderthal circles though.

I liked that one with the guy looking for a trowing knife to kill bears & wolverines :)
other prefered threads:

1. wich folder for prying (answer: DON'T pry with your folder!!!)

2. self defense (answer: gun or run)

3. hard core tests like: splitting bricks, cutting a cars roof etc. (answer: buy a hammer or use the keys)

4. wich heavy 10" fighter for iraq (answer: leatherman / swisstool)

I could imagine a thread "What's the best type of wood for clubbing versus... hmm -- come to think of it, I guess clubbing is pretty much all we do" :)
