What is your favorite Spydie(s) for EDC?

Endura lightwieght w/vg-10 in the winter (the frn handle doesn't conduct cold) and the all stainless endura in the summer.Plain edges and in the waistband.

My fav Spyderco EDC is the almite handled Navigator. Small, unobtrusive, yet with cutting power far beyond its size. One incredible little knife!

When wearing slacks or dress pants I carry a Ti Salsa.

With jeans I carry a Temperance Jr.

If and when the Paramilitary comes out it will probably be another regular carry for me.

For play and general wandering-around, I carry a Harpy embellished by Santa Fe Stoneworks. At work, a left-hand Mariner and Spyderench travel with me always.

Well with my new found trousers! that have a keen side leg pocket, one for a pen and another that my Large Calypso fits in nicely, I can also carry my small Centofante in my main front pocket as well, plus other knives about my person...;)

forgot, the trousers? they are some made by Columbia, very comfortable pants, and on the right hand side just next to the main pocket is a zippered secure pocket as well, nice!

These two knives compliment each other very nicely!

Hawkbill - I'm a big fan of the Harpy - can I see the Sante Fe embellishment on yours?

PE Endura lightweight! :)

Damn, I lost one of my Gerbers (EZ-Out) last weekend! :(
Guess I'll just have to buy a new Spyderco then, a Blue Delica would be perfect, about the same size as the Gerber, and so on....! :)

Today I'm carrying CF ladybug in my keychain ( as allways ) and CF PE Dargonfly in my RF pocket and small sebenza in G2 belt sheath. This is my regular carry combo unless Im going to city center when I leave the sebbie home. --> My favorite Spydie EDC must be CF PE Dragonfly.

My wife's EDC is a serrated Delica.
But my all-time favorite is the humble Rescue model.
I like my Endura alot, but the Rescue just seems to be the right size.

I was carrying the Vesuvius but I have condemned it to "the box" because it will not stay closed in my pocket.

Having said all of that, I must confess that my current EDC is'nt a Spyderco at all. It's a Gerber Harsey Air Ranger.

Good luck,
Allen.

Hello,

My EDC is the FB04 Fred Perrin fixed blade.
When I go in the city it's in my bag (I have removed the teklok)
and in the country it's in my pocket or ITW.

and it my pocket I carry my Perrin Custom La Griffe, medium long point flat grinded... hey this is a knife with a hole! ;)

My two other loves are the Military PE and the Lil Temp ! Both see a lot of use !!!

cheers,

JM

This is my debut in this forum so Hello Everyone ,

:D
My favourite EDC is the FRN Native SE- it's light, strong, w versatile handle, premium qulity steel- premium good heat treatment(!); although I like to carry them in pairs. As a "backup" for the Native, I usually choose the Matriarch or SE Military. Well, that's for sumertimes shorts.
I'm intend to write a review about such pairs of EDC knives, if you, forumities are interested in such a theme. ;)

I do appreciate Mr.Perrin's statement in conjunction w SE knives, I really do. As I know he prefers plain edge over serrated for a hundred thousand good reasons. It's o.k. At least when we're talking about fix blades.But. There is always a "but". In my bag there's always a SAK at least w saw&scissors. If I'm outdoors in my backpack there's a bigger PE hunting knife (I prefer Hattori or Fallkniven S1) as well as a triangle sharpmaker from Spyderco.

EDC-EveryDayCarry Knife. The one that can save your life even in an urban situation, even w such little things, than cut a wire or line or fabrics like safety belt or savage animals like dogs- I really like them, but sometimes they attack people in herd around towns . Sometimes under water on a little sailing boat. It has to be strong, reliable, one hand operable. One of my friends had to cut a padlock down, 'cause he'd lost the key. He has (still has!) an old SS 60/40 SE/PE Provenator- one of the best of old time Spydies. Well,of course we had to resharpen the knife but managed to open the door within 40 minutes w/o a prybar. I really don't know whether we could do that w a plain edged one. Another friend of mine cut a dog's leash of an old lady in a second w a 50/50 Starmate (my favourite Spyderco as well), when the moving staircase got the leash - saving the poor animal at the suburban railway. One time I had to cut a doormat in two. I had a little Benchmade w plain tanto style blade. I din't manage to do that.I sold the knife.
Since then I don't leave w/o serrations.
Just one last thing from a newby: The serrations on your EDC'd be at least 3 Spyderco sequence long- but that's an other story.

Thank yoou for your attention: kiralymd.

My EDC is the Starmate PE. Ever since I got that baby it's been by my side. Before I got that it was often the Delica. I love everything about the Starmate. The steel is awesome, and the blade shape is very pleasing to use and just admire (and I have to say I admire it more than I use it!)

I am also interested in the Temperence, Gunting, Shabaria and Matriarch but they are still on the "to buy" list.

Well, I hate to admit it but a spydie isnt my EDC. Most of the time I carry a Small Sebenza. But when it comes time to work outside, go camping, up at the cottage, ect. out comes the fully serrated VG-10 Endura. It is my beater, reserved for hard use. I have not even had it for a year, yet it has proven its worth time and time again.
Recently I got a fully serrated Military in a trade, and it will see its fair share of hard work outside.
Gotta love Spydies!

My most commonly carried work-day Spydie is my FRN Rescue Jr. I use it for hard plastic materials and also like having it available for emergencies.

My favorite weekend Spydie is my G10 Navigator. Love it.
