What is your favorite Spydie(s) for EDC?

My fav's are:

1. Spyderco G-10 Police PE
2. Spyderco Tim Wegner PE
3. Spyderco Jess Horn Micarta PE

I also love the Endura II, and Endura. AND...SS Police, Native, ........it just goes on and on.

Kallisti,

When my new pe Starmate arrives (likely this week), I'll likely be joining you in the Starmate appreciators club. I've wanted one of these beauties for a very long time.

Cheers, Jeff/1911.

Yay! Good 4 you Jeff.

I lusted after one for a very long time. Finally the discontinuation of the model and a job promotion spurred me into action and - I haven't looked back since. Keep us posted on your Starmate experiences!

My EDC @ work is a Blue Lum Chinese.
When I'm not at work I vary my carry between:
G-10 Police SE
G-10 Standard SE
Zytel Cricket PE
Zytel Native SE
and once in a while the Tit. Lum Tanto PE

The other 47 don't see much, if any use.

My main two lately have been:

C48ps Wegner
Navigator in G10 with a PE blade

Somtimes a blue Jester sneaks into my pocket also...... ;)

Kallisti,

I sure will let you know. I plan to post here to rave about my Starmate once it's been received and handled a bit.

Cheers, Jeff.

Sergiuz,

I really enjoyed looking at your website, in particular the pictures of the Spyderco knives. What excellent quality images you have there. Well done! I am delighted to have a couple more of the Starmate, as I wait for my own sample to arrive.

All the best, Jeff/1911.

I have decided to give my Military PE a break from being my usual primary EDC. I've grown attached to my Lum Chinese PE considerably since its' return from the Spyderco Warranty and Repair dept.. :)

I had never really given any of my VG-10 PlainEdge Spydies any real workout, but after a touchup on my 204, my Lum cut like an absolute dream. It seemed to slice, whatever I was cutting even before I actually touched it  !!!

I don't intend for my Millie to be put back in box for good, by any means, but hey, a Spydie deserves a vacation every now and then, doesn't it??? ;)

Spyderco Police to work most every shift, Have been throwing in a Spyderco Vesuvious lately too that knife surprised me in it's usefullness and quality compared to price, and has a very usefull comfortable kant to it.

Wanting a Military to add to the collection, soon as the money is right.....

My work EDCs rotate among my Blue BF Native PE, my Li'l Temperance PE, my Blue Salsa PE (Love that knife!), and my Meerkat PE. They all have 3" or less blades, yes even the Native, which I measure at less than 1/32" over 3", so I doubt that anyone would say that it is over 3". This is due to my working in Washington, DC, with its 3" maximum blade length law and in a federal agency, top boot.

My relaxation EDCs are my old love, the StarMate PE that I have owned and loved since they first came out and is still my favorite of all of my folders, a Lum Chinese with lovely green anodized aluminum scales, a BM/Osborne 940 in green (again a very lovely knife that I think would do very well at work were it only a bit shorter, and a Carnivore Jr. by REKAT that is smooth as glass and locks up tighter than a bank vault. If I am in a "F--k you!" mood, I sometimes carry my Cuda Maxx 5.5, mostly when I am going to visit someone and want to shock them.:D It can do that, in spades! But I don't generally carry it on public transit or out in public too much, as the police in my area tend toward the touchy side, even in Virginia.

Lastly, when I am dressed up, I generally carry my BM/Osborne 770, which I believe to be the perfect little gentleman's pocket knife. I am looking forward to having a Kiwi join it, as that looks to be a very slick little knife.

I kind of forgot to mention that I have an old C-19 Terzuola Clipit Jr., one with black anodized aluminum scales, that I also really like to carry on occasion. It has a >3" blade and I really like the little knife.

My EDC is a L'Temp.,leaf blade, plain edge.It suits my needs
just fine. The thick broad blade is stout enough to handle
any of my tasks. Never needs sharpening (almost). Handle is
just long enough and not to long to get in my way.
I have used a frend's Military and they are great. I would
buy one but they are a bit long for my small stature. (the
new smaller version may just be the thing)

I really like the Navigator. Huge cutting power in a small, easliy carried package. Way more useful, and cooler, than one might think at first glance. Awesome design!

My week day EDC tends to be my Cricket, but when I'm out and about in the countryside it's always the Chinook!

I was never keen on the look of the Chinook but I managed to get a good deal on one (and as a Spyderco fan I wasn't about to pass it up...) and after using it for the first time I was SO impressed! Great piece of kit.

When I'm 'dressed up' however I tend to carry my Blue Lum Folder, as I feel it has a classier look... (not that people get to see it, it's just a personal feeling)

It would have to be the MOUSE!!! However, if they ever made the SC-46 with a VG-10 blade....IT would be my new best friend... :)

just add better steel....and this would be "the one"
