What is your first new knife for 2014?

The first one is a Fox Knives USA "Drago" Wharncliffe folder with a blue handle.

The second one is a Boker Plus Colubris modified Wharncliffe fixed blade.

I waited for at least a year for both of them from when they were announced to finally tracking them down for purchase.

This will be it for a while though. Like most everyone else here, I am waiting to see what will be coming out for 2014.
 
Got this Manix 2 S30V on the 2nd. Installed the Putman scales, heat anodized the STR clip yesterday.
It's a keeper.

These are the knives that I've got coming so far this year:

1 Scrapyard Mud Mut with the optional sheath
2 Scrapyard 1111s (Black & Tan) from the Santa Ganza
1 Kershaw Skyline (Blue Handle with Blackwash Blade)

That Spyderco Manix2 XL C95CFP2 (Carbon Fiber) with the S90V steel is lookin' mighty tempting. :D

this was also my first knife of the new year.
I think I may have gotten the last one cuz after my order went thru and the page refreshed it say "SOLD OUT" :P
Now I'm thinking about trying to pick up a Red Skyline and swapping the blades, cuz I love me some red & black.
 
Cobra Steel Lakonia was the first blade I received in 2014, but it was a 2013 order. The first knives I ordered in 2014 were 3 from Khukuri House(3 Chirra, "Fear the Black", Chukuri Refined) and an Ontario Utilitac...the Utilitac should definitely be arriving first.
 
Ontario Utilitac 2. Came in the mail today. This will be in my pocket for a good little while.

 
Got my ZT0566 today. Hoping to EDC this but I am having trouble because it cost me $125.

I felt the same way at first with my ZT0550. Not anymore. I'd rather have it with me when I need it than say, "Jeeze, wish I had that really well functioning knife I paid a bunch for WITH ME."

You'll get there man, it will be in your pocket in no time. All the time.
 
I'm hoping my first for 2014 will be the pre-ordered ZT 801CF from who knows when I ordered it.

The order is in good hands though, so that's good, right? :rolleyes:

Likely to be something further into the "gentleman's carry" category if the ZT doesn't make it anytime soon (patience is a virtue, y'all)
