What is your grail knife and do you own it?

“Grail knife” seems pretty serious so I’m setting my sights HIGH.

So - I’d take this Randall from the Smithsonian that went to space!

Much more graceful lines than the modern Astro model…

Sorry for the bad photo but it was the best I could get:

*ETA: It doesn’t have to be THIS Randall from the Smithsonian - I wouldn’t want to deprive others of the chance to see it - one from a private collection that went to space would be fine. ;)

Fix: Cold Steel Magnum Tanto2 and 2nd gen Mini Tanto.
Folder: ZT0562 and Reate Horizon C.

I'm the original owner of all the above blades.

Over many years I have been able to track and land many of my “grail knives”. Some I have kept many others I have traded off. I have gone through so many that I no longer believe in these things. To me the real grail is having the knowledge to distinguish interesting from commonplace. Go through enough stuff and you are bound to find something meaningful, the hard part is knowing enough to recognize it when you see it; with these grail items you are seldom given a second chance.

My grail knife used to be a Scott Cook Loscha. I put myself on the list & got forgotten. I don't have a grail knife anymore. I'd love to get me a Randal Knife at some point though, so I guess that may be it. I get what I like in the moment pretty much.

Grail knife is overused to the point of meaninglessness.
Historical pieces aside, like an original Loveless or even the rare sod buster potato peeler whittling knife, can my grail knife be a jewel encrusted solid gold handled thing I can just sell to buy a couple of cool knives I want to try out? If so, that's my answer.

I thought it was going to be one of my CRKs, turns out I was wrong. I’ll take my modified Manix 2 with Rockscale liner-delete titanium scales over either. Close would be my iMamba.

If you believe a Grail’s value is in the seeking and not in the actual acquiring, then mine might be a GEC Angus.

Mine were the Benchmade 940Ti-01, and some BM 710.
Dont own both, since german knife laws tightened I lost interest in oho knifes completely.

I own my Grail LG! I love Persian blades and LG, so when the PO of this one posted a picture in the LG thread, I was beside myself! Luckily when the PO decided to sell it, he remembered my reaction and reached out. LG makes a bunch of awesome customs, but this one speaks to me. If I ever commission one from him, it will probably be another Sicario.

My grail knife is the Koenig Arius, textured with CF scale. I have 2 of them, one flipper and the other non flipper 👍
I would like to get a style 55 CF but it is very difficult to get one of these 😨
But me present set of Arius is already good for me 😅

didn’t they find one when the recovered the sunken space capsule? I am unsure if the one in your pic is that one or if it ever was restored.
