I don’t own it, as it doesn’t exist. Large plain Sebenza with a Damascus Insingo blade. If it ever was made I’d pay whatever for it. In the meantime I am happy with my other two large Insingo 21s. But a dammy… oof… I wish.

My grail knife would be a Gayle Bradley 2 with that little grip peak under the Spydie hole ground flush with the grip (more like the GB1) and a chamfer just in front of it to make the lock bar easier to hit.

I have a Dremel and a couple of GB2s, so I should at least try my luck with one of them.

Would love a WW2 through Vietnam Ek, I know one came up for sale in the exchange, but too rich for me.

I'd like to one day own a Trevor Burger LEXK/EXK, love the design but being customs they're not an achievable goal for me. I set my standards low with production stuff, so I can keep feeding my addiction and microdose inbetween acquisitions. My "grails" were CRK, Hinderer and Microtech when I got into knives, I now own multiple of all three.

In somewhat chronological order of graildom. CRK Inkosi was my first higher end knife, followed by Hinderer, the Socom and Sebenza took took the longest to acquire due to availability in the EU (I'm not big on buying second hand).

I'd like to change my answer, whatever it was.

I've been telling myself that I need to focus on making my own stuff. So, my answer for both fixed and folding is now going to be something I design and make. Maybe I'll even be able to post pictures, some time.

Not that I think it will stop me from wanting something "better", but I don't mind that there is no "ending" to my interest in knives. As over-used as the phrase feels, the journey really is the goal.

Wow! Okay, sorry about that. Let me just grab my soapbox, and I'll be on my way.

My grail knife is a NMFBM and there's one for sale right now. Too bad I don't have the funds for it at the moment!

Man, I've been watching this thread since it got bumped a few weeks back. I've tried to think about my "grail" knife but couldn't come up with anything. Then, a few days back, the "fixed blade" Exchange set me straight.

I've been wanting a Barky "V-44" Bowie since they were released. I had a chance at a couple, but missed out on 'em because of my finances at the time.

One showed up in the fixed blade Exchange, just a few days back. Much to my disappointment, it appeared to sell out in minutes. However, after a few hours, there seemed to be a glitch in the matrix. I immediately contacted the Seller, who informed me that the V-44 was still available.

I have to give a shout-out to K Koppsg . Given the scarcity and rarity of the Barky V-44, he could've easily chosen to be a complete a$$ and $calper. However, he didn't do that. He gave me a much appreciated and fair price on his knife.

Anyhow, I give you my "Grail" fixie, a "First Production Run" (*the ONLY "Production Run", as far as I know) Barky V-44 Bowie, in "Rosewood Burl"...

*About 95% of my knives are "users". Unfortunately, I think this one ^^^ will fall into the other 5%. It's going "on display", on my bookshelf. ❤️

Rockstead Shu. I can afford one, but haven’t yet managed to talk myself into the purchase.

Really like Rocksteads but I dread having to sharpen their convex grind without messing up that polish. And I absolutely hate their clips, everything else about their knives screams elegance and attention to detail. Then they got to the clip and said "Yeah just put some stamped steel one on there". It just doesn't look good on a knife this expensive.

Appreciate the kind words.

My GRAIL has always been a Scott Cook Lochsa. I was on the list back in 2008 & got bypassed somehow. I'd still like one but I'm not willing to pay aftermarket prices.
