Strider SmF. I want a hard use folder I can abuse knowing that it can take it. I have slicers and choppers. Strider seems to conjure up extreme opinions on the forum. So if you dont like them, pretend I said another maker/model that didn't embellish the truth. If you do like them...
Ken Onion made a limited mid-tech run of his Ripple. Made here in the US with CPM154 steel and a Titanium frame. Was sold through one dealer exclusively and sold out quickly. That would be my grail knife.
an actual working, usable Crysknife unfortunaly I haven't seen any sandworms around lately
so I'm gunna have to say I want one of those granfors bruks viking knives
the funny thing is is that I actually had a chance, and the money to buy one of these at a knife show,
but unfortunately I didn't know exactly what it was at the time, and I had my eye dead set on a BK14
I never thought of this as a grail because it kind of fell into my lap but it's gonna be tough getting anything much higher quality than this bad boy (IMHO)
The fit and finish is remarkable, It has Jeweled Ti liners and Ti scales that when fit together appear to be 1 thick scale. This beast is almost silent when flipped and locked up. It pivots on Bronze phosphorous bushings but it is smoother than any bearing knife i have.
A lot of my most sought after knives I just cant find but the 1s I wont be able to afford are southard flipping tanto and rexford hot hammered singularity
Rexford would be the ultimate 1 but some more reasonable grails I just cant find are

William Henry Spearpoint Independence features a mesmerizing stainless steel frame, hand-engraved in Italy by the master artisans of Bottega Incisioni. The beautiful hand-forged blade is heat-blued carbon 'Flag' damascus steel; the one-hand button lock and the thumb stud are set with rubies.
A remarkable design that gives you an instrument with a full-size secure grip, and a versatile deep-belly blade, the Spearpoint epitomizes William Henrys core philosophy that superlative function deserves to be elevated to superlative art.
The Independence features hand-forged metals, and hundreds of hours of microscopic hand-engraving which are the hallmark of William Henry's most exclusive creations; a timeless heirloom to be proudly worn and used for a lifetime before being handed-down to another generation.
