Ive has 2 grails since i started collecting knives, people may think its silly meh. One is a cold steel gurkha kukri in sk-5 or carbon v. i Have the sk-5 model. The other is a tom brown tracker full size. Since both of these knives are obtainable for me is great. I dont like it when there are things i really want and cant have.

I've had a lot of knives, from cheap through CRK, Strider, Hinderer, customs, but have no Grail knife. I've never had a Grail knife. I realize that I must be ill.

There's a lot of nice knives out there. I make an effort to avoid a lot of the super nice stuff and stick to simple things like Spyderco and Busse. They get expensive enough. If I had a grail, it would be an old sword designated a national treasure of Japan.

Somehow managed to get my hands on two of them relatively recently. A Busse Combat AMS in tanker gray with green and black G10, and a Green Spyderco Paramilitary 2 "Exclusive Run" in CTS-204P which I've been searching for and just arrived at my door today!

A custom Hinderer xm-18 for the price of an aftermarket Hinderer xm-18. This way I will feel not guilty about my purchase and enjoy using the knife. I can't even enjoy using a standard xm-18 for the Hinderer ranch price knowing that if I keep it mint, I can auction it for shop price and make double (starting auction at $400). It just ruins the knife for me knowing everytime I use it I am throwing away money I might need in an emergency someday (there is no job security no more). Any who, a custom 3" spearpoint non flipper, smooth carbon fiber scale and brown anodized titanium.

Well....one of my grails will be in my pocket by the end of the year. Grimsmo knives opened their books on Sunday for the next run....well two runs (November and February - 100 knives each). Opened up last night and I reserved mine! Now I just have to pick my customizations and start the patience game until November.
