Kershaw junkyard dog 2.2![]()
Don't worry about the brazed seam. The blade will fail elsewhere before that seam becomes a problem. The shape of the seam gives the joint mechanical strength on top of the strength of the filler metal bond.how is the composite blade. i just sold my only kershaw and want to replace it with a new kershaw. i sometimes worry about the copper they use to join the two steels
My last purchase was a Smith&Wesson Homeland Security lock blade folder. It has a 4 1/8" blade with a 1/8" spine. It says Titanium Steel on one side then says Surgical on the other. I sharpened this knife on a Smth's Diamond hone at 29 degrees. It's 5 1/2" closed, 8 3/4" open and the locking mechanism is easy ta manipulate with one handed operation.
This is my favorite carry knife above my Buck folder with a 2 3/4" blade.
