what is your opinion is the best hard use folder... one you can trust not to fail on you and to just beat the heack out of if needed... maybe even use as pry bar?? :D

Strider, Hinderer, Demko Customs, Zero Tolerance (has collabs with both Hinderer and Strider). Also on the horizon, saw a huge Kabar folder on a youtube 2011 blade show video, also there some pics of a Busse Folder.

I've never had a SAK fail me. I've even pried with the screwdriver blade. Would that count?

In my opinion, one of the best is the good ole Buck 110

This pretty much covers it.

Any ZT. They are the best hard use folders sub $200. If you want ridiculously strong the. Get the frame lock but i find the ZT 0200 is the best overall.

I know this is crazy talk, but consider shifting your paradigm, and prying with a pry bar instead of a folder. No one will think less of you. One can experience a deep sense of inner calm by using tools within their design parameters. I'm just saying. :)

Excellent post. "Hard use folders" tend to sacrifice cutting ability for the ability to perform tasks that don't call for a knife in the first place!

cold steel pocket bushman. tough as nails and cheap enough you wont mind actually using it :)
