What is your opinion of TOPS knives?

When I looked at Tops web site a while back. it stated that the their warranty was for the original purchaser only and proof of purchase required.

Do people real keep the receipt for their knives?

With so many good companies out there that stand behind there work i.e. ESEE, Becker, Leatherman, Buck etc., I just can't see paying for Tops overpriced products that even they "apparently" don't have confidence in.

My 2 cents.

Hi guys, this is my first post, but I'm here daily looking at the post and there is a lot of great info can get from here. I own half a dozen TOPs knives and love them. It is one of my favorite company's for knives and i have owned a lot of knives from most manufacturers. I have used there knives as an Infantry soldier from the middle east to central America to hurricane Catrina. These are great knives and have never let me down. Now that I'm out and do more camping i still use them. I bet most the people that trash TOPs knives and complain about them have never handled let alone used one. You cant give a review on how functional a knife is without using it. An example is the saws on some of there models. They actually work. They may not be the most efficient saw, but it is better than nothing. I think most would be surprised how well it works. Mike Fuller is a great guy and I have met him at Gun shows in person and in Idaho falls when I lived there. In conclusion, they are a great knife and I stand behind them and I know many people that do also. Also if you buy them online from a dealer they are really reasonable for what you get. You almost always pay more for a knife straight from the manufacture.
