What is your personal favorite handle material(s)?

My favorite handle material is stag. Followed closely by polished water buffalo horn.
For wood, I like satisaal, walnut and hard rock maple.

I love and carry a plain titanium-slabbed folder. It's my favorite, although I don't mind G10 or CF as one of the scales.

I like anodized aluminum, I like how it feels, and how it wears I wish more knives where made with aluminum scales.

Depends really..
Micarta for solid peace of mind.. and it looks good too.
Smooth bone for mere pleasure
Stag for aesthetical reasons
Wood for warmth

I think polished G10 and wood are both underused in production folders. I can polish my own G10, but I'd love to see some nice wood handles.

For all knives -- fixed blades, folders and pocketknives -- I put Micarta at the top of my list. It's tough, low-maintenance and (relatively) inexpensive.

I'm not a fan of wood scales on pocketknives or aluminum handles on much of anything, but that's a personal problem I'm trying to work through. :D

In natural materials I like (and will actually spend money for) stacked leather and smooth camel bone for fixed blades and jigged bone for pocketknives. When I'm feeling fancy -- and not cheap ;) -- I've been know to be seduced by Buckeye burl and sheep horn.

For folders and small fixed blades i like g10. In my mid to larger fixed blades micarta rules supreme!

Micarta( canvas, linen, paper), cocobolo & mahogany, stacked leather

If I have to pick one, it's a tough call but I'd say cocobolo.

I like all woods though, including any type of burl, desert ironwood, ebony, rosewood... And also bone, depending on the color, either smooth or jigged. Stag is great, but I'm more particular with stag as not all of it is a good match to a particular knife.

Probably have more Delrin than any other material, but I wouldn't call it my favorite.
Despite problems, it's hard to beat some beautiful vintage celluloids.
Mother of pearl, abalone, and leather round up the favorites.

Anything BUT black plastic. :barf: Although I have plenty of that too. :o

Ironwood is my favorite natural material and Carbon Fiber is my favorite synthetic material.
