What is YOUR Survival knife?

I always have a Busse Skeleton Key on me as my EDC , but I'd grab my Scrap Yard Dogfather on the way out to have a big strong chopper as well ;)

HOLD MY BEER AND WATCH THIS !

Would most likely take my ESEE 4.. since it's the only fixed blade I have. I really like it though, so nothing wrong going on. If I had a few more seconds, I'd try to snatch my machete and a sharpening stone, too

I would grab my Busse NMFBM and my swamp rat RMD.

Realistically I would take all of my knifes.

If I could only have one for doomsday it would be a NMFBM.

Either one of these would do. They can do everything from skinning game to camp chores.

Some great choices here!! To the folks not buying my little hypothetical-situation, feel free to name a few items! :) I know realistically we all have a bug -out-bag or kit, or will likely have the option to take a knife and hatchet or whatever. So use your imaginations, but just include a knife :)

One of these, probably the BRKT Bravo-1, or Fallkniven F1 (not pictured).

whichever knife I have on me whenever SHTF... but my BK2 always rides in my truck, with an altoid can packed with fire making goodies, along with a CRKT Hissatsu. I've found it's an excellent throwing knife.

I love how the question was "which knife" (singular) and you guys are posting several. If you can't make the simple decision as to which knife to take, you probably wouldn't survive in that situation. Carrying duplicates of things instead of carrying more food, ammo, or shelter is questionable judgment.

Ah well, it is a fantasy situation anyhow, so I guess it doesn't really matter.

My Emerson CQC-7. It was designed for stuff like this, and has proven itself a thousand times in a hundred countries by countless heroes.

Staying true to the OP's scenario, either my RMD or BK2...whichever one was closest to my BOB and pistol bag at that time.

No more questionable than taking just one, and then losing it, having it break, get stolen and find yourself with nothing. "Two is one and one is none" etc.

That said, as with others, if I am dressed I have at a bare minimum my Victorinox Fieldmaster in my jeans pocket, my Leatherman Wave on my belt and more than likely my Para2 IWB. And if I have to 'grab' something, most of my knives are in a couple of bags which are slowly evolving into BoB setups. But assuming I heard an 'earth-shattering kaboom' while I was perusing my collection spread out on the dining room table, I would most likely grab my Becker BK-9 and/or my Fallkniven F1 with Bark River handles.

Ranger RD6 is my basic survival knives.
Becker BK2 is in my BoB.

I'd like to get a custom one built from a knifemaker here since I have big hands and prefer a longer and fatter handle.
