When I travel, I don't bring my seb25, xm18 or SMF for fear of lost luggage or customs issues. My Spyderco Endura4 is the one that gets all the travels. It will be replaced by my new PM2 on my next trip.

What knife or knives do you guys travel with?

Well if I have to air travel I don't take one. For the price of check baggage I could buy a nice Kershaw.

The cheapest quality knife I own. For me this is a Griptilian or a Blur. I have a mini-Grip for those 3" or less cities like DC.

Edit: for me all of my air travel is for work, and most is international. I almost always check a bag. I slip it in my toiletry bag.

I went skiing after christmas, & brought a kershaw knockout. carried real well, too. got it for 48.00 too...

Spyrdco harpy for sd and a slipjoint, lonewold loveless, or small lock blade, benchmade park avenue.

None if I'm flying. I travel light and rarely have to check bags. Sometimes I'll carry a shillelagh for a bit of protection. And it makes a style statement.

If I'm not flying I carry my regular EDC and a "go bag" (usually a Maxped Remora) which contains various items including an ESEE-4 or HEST II, Leatherman, MP3 player and cans, iPad, compass, spare mags, etc.

I generally do not take knives with me since most of my work travel involves a bag stashed in an overhead bin. When I'm traveling for a length of time that requires a checked bag, I usually pack one of my cheapest knives which ends up being one of my Buck skeletonized models sharpened to a shaving edge.

Usually, just my Victorinox Classic. Does what I need, no harm done if it gets lost or confiscated.

Depends on how I'm traveling. If driving, I carry what I normally do (pick from a rotation). If flying w/ carry-on luggage only, I leave my knives at home. If I have a check-in bag, I'll toss my Vic Super Tinker in there.

Swiss Army Soldier, I use the tools more than the blade, and a big single blade tac knife makes a lousy screwdriver. :)

I always pair my Spydies with a SAK too but I cannot remember its model. It comes very handy when I need to open the duty free wine with the cork screw. I also use the scissors to remove labels of the clothes/bags bought by my better half during the trip :)

I Usually travel near an ocean so I take an H1 Spyderco, Saver Salt or a Dragonfly. I zip strap the knife thru the spyderhole to the zipper of my toiletry bag. Also a SRK or a small Leatherman (CS4).

I took my Doug Ritter mini grip and a Spyderco elmax Mule to the Artic Circle for a hunting trip....Two Knives I trust my Life with.

Depends if it's in the US, Asia, or Europe. Now if I fly 1st class, that's a whole other deal. Train travel is different than a bus trip, too. And in Australia or Antartica, again, well....

OK, I never really think much about it. A small fixed blade and a SAK usually. But then, if travelling east, not west.....

I like to travel with my BK17 and BK7--along with a GEC#23 or #42 (trappers), a CS Recon 1 (clip point), and my Victorinox field master--mostly because I do lots of outdoorsman things when I travel (and travel is typically for pleasure). Last trip I also took my new Bark River city knife--what a handy little blade! I do get a little nervous checking all that steel, but what do I have it for if I can't enjoy it?! Of all of those listed, the GEC 23 (double liner lock!) and the BK7 saw the most use--they make for a great combination.

If I check a bag, my Tenacious. I leave my more expensive edc s at home.
