what kind of fixed blades do you carry, if any?

Here's a sample of fixed blades that I find myself carrying frequently (usually not more than one or two at a time). Anyone want to take a stab (no pun intended!) at guessing what they all are? You'll win nothing but a pat on the back!

Whatever is adequate for the expected situation. But it's NEVER NEVER a weapon.
A knife is always a tool is a tool is a tool.
I wouldn't even allow me to dream otherwise...

Due to current laws in Texas I've had to reluctanty cease carrying knives of any appreciable length. So, Jerry Hossom at www.hossom.com was kind enough to allow me to order this beauty, it has a 5.5 inch blade:

I also made a rig for it, and I can carry it 100% concealed by carrying it horizontally along my belt in one of my belly sheaths.

It's a great little blade, but I do miss my long fighters.

Heres a handy one from Ray Kirk. Works great as a neck knife, or is very comfy to just slip in a pocket. Strong, sharp and able to do any work that I require of it.

Chris Reeve Shadow IV 4" blade in a Pancake holster. I hugs the body and the dark color is unobtrusive.

Well i don't carry any, cos i'm too afraid of getting caught by the cops. My friend however carries a project 1, you can read about it in the thread titled Read this.... in the community forum.

All knives are created equal, then i get my dirty big hands on them and the real fun begins.

With dress clothes - it's usually only neck knives.

So it is either a bob Dozier neck knife or any one of my woo's (1095 or Titanium)

When possible I carry either a Blackjack Trailguide, Blackjack #5 or Marble's Expert II.

It's only a mistake if you fail to learn from it!

In town, a Griffith SUB Texan either in my right front pokcet, or as a neck knife. Along with that, either a Tanto Cetan, a modified BM 145HS, or a modified Spydie Moran, small of back. Well, as long as the cold weather lasts. After that, just the Griffith, probably.

Ayoob Razorback. Not as fancy as some of these customs, but will do the job in a pinch.

I saw the Light a couple of years ago and started carrying a puukko in my front pocket. In addition to many other advantages it's so convenient that I wonder why I ever carried a folding knife. There's no opening, closing, clipping back to the pocket -- it's instantly in my hand, cuts, and it's instantly back in the sheath. The pommel sticking out of my pocket doesn't panic the natives at all (and Massachusetts natives are easily panicked, as you may have noticed if you've been following the news lately).

Well durring a field trip to Rockwell International with my fellow electronics students, I was carrying my Pentagon Elite, MA Mini SOCOM and my CRKT stiff Kiss with the custom tip (break it off then re grind like SOG's Shark Tooth Tip)

I used to carry a smaller Buck but ended up selling it. Looking into getting a Ka-Bar 5 in if all else fails. Want somethig under 4in if I can find it with a good hand guard

I usually carry a Desperado IWB in the small of the back. Nobody
notices the handle, and it's the knife I can use best

Now if somebody made a Desperado with plain edge and a decent
black leather sheet, I'd be a happy camper.

Every day, either a Emerson La Griffe or a CRKT Stiff Kiss (not expensive, but they work) In my car a Sog 2000. And while in the woods Backpacking a Junglee Hattori Fighter.

I am currently carrying a Greco Cub Companion,{3.5" blade length, 3/16 blade width}. The great thing about it is that with the sheath it comes in I can easily wear it on my belt or comfortably carry it in my front pants pocket. Great knife!

Doug

Those Greco's i hear good things about. They good knives people feel?

I've now included my MD Pygmy ATAK for daily carry; that along with my RJM Handiman neck knife. The PATAK rides perfectly under my BDU blouse.

I've also substituted my Polkowskie Dingo in a modified slip sheath and my THR Light Utility knife.

As much as I like folders, FBs are the best utility blades to have.

Dave

I carry a TOPS Talonite Shadow Hunter on my belt, high-ride right hand side.

Allen Blade Drop Point of 52100 in my left front pocket, static corded to my belt.

REKAT Utility in a neck sheath.

Erickson Mora 2000 and small and large Erickson Mora Moderns.

WSI Ranger.
