The sound of this one is pretty sweet. Little click of the detent and big click during lockup, kind of sounds like a bolt cycling.![]()

Wire edm is expensive but very accurate . I’d be curious why a knife manufacturer would even use it given the cost to benefit ratio.

I will certainly do that. I just set this drawer up yesterday and was already thinking something to do exactly what you described. A rubber sheet is a great idea. Hopefully, I can find something large enough for the drawer!No rubber sheet to
A) protect the finish on some of those
B) stop them from sliding if you open/close the drawer a tad too fast/forcefully?
