What kind of folder do you carry?

Alutex is pretty neat looking, the aluminum in it really gives it a cool sheen and adds extra dimension to go along with the milled pattern. I had never heard of this material before until I saw and bought this Hati-R on the exchange but after some research found out it’s similar to carbon fiber and used in similar applications, like trim pieces in Ferraris!

(A Ferrari steering wheel with Alutex will set ya back a measly $7500 lol).

The “Hati” line in Shirogorov knives are Ti-framelocks. The newer ones have been made with carbon fiber and inlays on the framelock side but I like the clean, simple look of the previous variations.

That’s just plain sexy ! You’ve inspired me to seek it out ( Alutex, not Ferrari). I’ve been inching closer and closer to chasing a Shiro for a while, perhaps the Hati ? Thanks for the post.

Regards !

Thanks man, I have a few Shiro’s now and I will say that one that feels the most solid in every way is the F95 Zero which is a newer generation than this Hati-R. Same handle size and profile, just a full Ti body. It’s the one I would recommend for a CPK lover, it’s bare bones enough but has a lot of attention to detail. Slightly beefier components like the pivot and backspacer make it feel like a tank compared to this Hati.

And if you like a solid feeling knife with a liner lock over a framelock, check out an F3.

Hopefully we can meet up in Meadville I've never checked out a Shiro in person !

I spent most of the last couple of weeks carrying this folder manufactured by Fredrich Hartkopf. I purchased it in a tiny knife shop in Munich where we spent our vacation. More of a souvenir than anything, but the ability to use the knife and fork separately is interesting.

Thank you ! I’m pretty unfamiliar and the advice helps.
