Wow. Didn't know those were available in Magnacut. Would love to hear your impressions once you've had the chance to use it.

The 0562 has been my backwoods folder for a few years (still undecided as to whether the Demko AD20 will replace it. Love the shark lock, but prefer the 0562 blade grind).

I didn't either , but seen it in an email from a site .... and the price seemed like a good buy!

I'll def let you know what I think of it!!!!

Just got the orange Mini-Barrage in and it's a bit different of a blade shape compared to the 586-1701. The 586-1701 has nothing to fear though except when going camping.

BTW, Chip, was using my Schempp Bowie the other day .... did you do anything (like coating) to prevent the brass from darkening ?

Pocket carry, that's all...it'll darken if I let it sit for a few weeks but shines right up with a days carry.

My EDC knife is a A.G. Russell featherlight in VG 10 steel.


Doing knife shows and when I am in uncertain environment it is the SOG Spec Elite 1- the ARC Lock systems makes it easy to open and close. Both are VG-10 steel which I love.
