What KIND OF KNIFE DID YOU GET FOR CHRISTMAS

Sorry James & Tom.

I sympathize with you and would have been there too if it hadn't been for Roger.

My wife and I gave more than we could afford this year in the usual spirit of giving so there's not much left for us by the time all the gifts have been mailed out and delivered.

jcozad is right - we should remember the Reason for the Season. My family spent Christmas Eve in church doing that. We have a lot to be thankful for.

Here's hoping those who didn't receive a knife at Christmas will soon have a new one which will put a knifenut gleam back in their eye.

My brother, sister and brother-in-law chipped in and bought me a BM Nimravus to match my Nimravus Cub. It was quite the surprise!

Happy New Year everyone!!

Decado

I gave myself a Project II,and a circle pattern Umfaan.

A set of gill hibben throwers (small)
one Blazing Arrow thrower (united cuttlery)
One buck 110
and some big cheesey folder

I got a Scharade "Ducks Unlimted" Special collectors edition set in a wood case.

It was a suprise.

Later,
John

I got an oddball serrated Endura with its checkered lines filled in with red enamel and its Spyder logo with white! Very different! I like it.

Santa didn't even bring me a Sharpmaker 204, let alone anything to make sharp. Fortunately, I bought myself a GT Mini while I was doing my Christmas shopping.

Life is like a box of chocolates, never know what your gona git!

My friend completely surprised me this morning, he called and asked me to help identify a knife over the phone. I had just woken up so I was still bleary eyed and wasn't sure based solely on the description. He stopped by later with two folders (one I wasn't familiar with, the other was a Spyderco), I was happy because I thought I had made him into a fellow knife nut. Then he tried to give me both but I said that I have all the folders that I need and he should keep them, he insisted that I at least take the Delica so I now am the happy owner of my first Spyderco.

you mean besides the stunningly generous shopping trip where my sweetie let me pick out a william henry pearl-handled kestrel?

i think the one of the best moments of christmas morning was the one where i realized i was using my pretty new kestrel to open a box of a set of truly awesome spyderco kitchen knives

i am so jazzed about those kitchen knives i can hardly believe it. Sweetie spent some time discussing which ones to get with Jim Mattis, and they came up with a wonderful set of three: a plain edged small utility, a serrated large utility, and an awesome san-toku, which i instantly fell in love with. ("honey, we're having a whole BUNCH of chopped veggies for dinner tonight...")

check out the pics on mr. mattis' site...

the boye (also courtesy of mr. mattis) has a really unusual blue handle, which i didn't know was an option. it's kind of a dusky blue, really nice. those boye knives are such great folders.

it was an amazing sharp christmas overall. we gave four other knives as gifts, and of course sweetie got a green micra too, to match his new green speedtech

that sucks! but it's kinda hard to feel sorry for a man with that many sebenzas, know what i mean? LOL! but still...maybe for valentine's day? or how 'bout a st. patrick's day knife! but that's a long time to wait---groundhog day is much closer, maybe The Great GroundHog will smile on you! (next time: try putting up photos of your wishes on the fridge...

)

a special thank you to Santa's wonderful helpers: Jim O'Young, Dennis Wright, and Jim Mattis, for helping to make this household's holiday so shiny-bright! and to Mike and Spark, for giving both of us something to look forward to...we've spent a couple hours messing with the scanner and our new toys, haven't got anything usable yet, but it's only 2:30 in the afternoon, there's lots of time....

We open our presents on Christmas Eve so that nobody's concentrating on presents on Christmas day, and my BF Sifu arrived just on time; 9:30 a.m. on Dec. 24th!

I was convinced it wouldn't show up on time. I was also a bit concerned because I'd heard a lot of people's Carnivours weren't very smooth, but that certainly isn't the case with my Sifu!

My pastor's son got a Kershaw Ken Onion Whirlwind for Christmas. It was the first time I'd seen one, so I didn't recognize it as a Speed Safe model. The thing startled me so much when I opened it I almost dropped it!

I got a beautiful, small, hunter from Ed Caffrey....it has a 3 1/2" 5160 forged blade with the best looking Desert Ironwood handles I've ever seen!! One of the best looking custom knives I've ever owned!
I knew it was coming.

Hold on people! My wife, my long time partner did REAL GOOD this year by presenting me with a Brend SOCOM SET! This is the first knife=knives she has purchased for me.
She shoots and buy me such wonderful presents,I really don't deserve her.
But I will never let her go!

I don't celebrate Christmas, but my birthday is the 24th, and I traded for a Boye Basic with wrap by our own G2. Should be here tomorrow
