My wife has an old Schrade center-lock hawkbill (linoleum knife?) for pruning stuff in her garden, and either a BM 690 or a SAK Executive in her purse (she's got her EDC rotation too)

I got my girl a micra ... upon opening a box of chocolates she almost cut her thumb in half (no joke) while cutting towards herself. I then gave her a Leatherman Squirt, but she took it off of her keychain a while back because she had too much junk on her chain. Who knows what she uses to cut things now.
I would say micra if she is safe with it! She will love the nail file.
My Girlfriend carries a Kershaw leek partially serrated IWB(!!!), in her purse she usually carries a CRKT Ryan plan B, but due to Kalifornia fixed blade carry restrictions, I suggested she leave it at home
My wife was using a Made in China Swiss Army knife clone to open and break down her Tupperware boxes. I gave her a Spyderco Endura for these chores and she loved it. She asked for something a little smaller to carry, and I gave her a Green Salsa that she really seems to like a lot.
My better half keeps getting her greedy little paws on my microtech ultratech...hehe just kidding hon. But she knows she can't carry that and I'm not willing for her to risk the potential problem with leo's.
I got her a Kershaw wild turkey in titanium though, very slim and light. Plus I can always point to it when she takes it out and say 'titanium...ooooo". Now she just says, yes dear, its titanium, wow. I'm so glad she's as excited by knives as me!
