I don't use anything, even on the satin blades.

I've tried using oil and stuff on my EDC blades, but it gets rubbed off from being in contact with sweaty skin for days on end. I may get some discoloration/light rust on the top of the grip and the tang, but a couple of swipes with 2000 sandpaper or a rust eraser gets rid of it.

Never had pits.

CorrosionX and Eezox have been proven in independent tests to be the best of the metal protectants out there. I have a reference somewhere if anyone is interested.
