What knife are you most fortunate to own?

i tend to stick to lower production models like grips but i picked up a benchmade limited edition sequel with d2 steel

a hen and rooster pocket skinner with ivory micarta scales that is in mint condition that i got from my DAD

My Sog Tech Bowie that my wife got me for Christmas in 2007. I really like it and its a great looking knife.

It also got me back in to collecting knives. I'm glad see got it for me.

This Don Greenaway Liner Lock folder with Ladder Damascus blade and Steller's Sea Cow scales.

I know mine will not be all that, but my most fortunate knife Is one of the Schrade Old Timers, It Is the Gunstock trapper In the 1080 steel, my dad got It for me the day i was born and gave It to me for my 8th birthday, It Is my favorite knife and I would not trade It or sell It ever, even for a Bussie.
Similar to you, Turk...the Schrade Premium Stockman, my dad carried until he died in 1997.
He had a 'thing' for Schrade stockmen and wore out a dozen, at least, carving small animals from peach pits and ham bones.
RIP, Dad, your Schrade is well cared for.

An SnG and a Lg Sebenza really make me smile. I feel VERY fortunate to own ANY quality knife made here in my home... the USA.

Four knives that i am very fortunate to own!

1st up, an Idaho Knife Works "Hunter Companion Knife". Its special to me because it was very generously gifted to me by a BF member a while back (i think Joezilla ?? , my mind is foggy right now). I dipped the sheath in hot beeswax, convexed the edge with 3m autobody paper and honed it to a wicked sharp edge.

next up is a Jimmy LILE family authorized replica, sold to me by Scott (Vancouver local) over at LanyardZone. Its a beautiful little bushcrafter, scary sharp with a great leather sheath. I got to meet up with another EDC Forums member in person and shoot the breeze about all things EDC and knives!

Next up is a Falkknifen A1 in VG10, with a custom sheath (Siguy made i think?). This knife is special to me because i went on a great roadtrip into the Interior of BC Canada, to meet up with a fellow ScrapYard Knives member (D-Filgate). We had coffee, apple pie and ice cream, yakked about knives and stuff and showed off a few of our blade collections. This knife was a trade for a CheckMate Kings Pawn Recurve Bow i had. (sheath looks black because i just heavily oiled it with Obenaufs)

next up is a handmade MUNKY88 bushcrafter blade. This knife is special to me because i got to participate in a nighttime "find the prize" hunt. Munky, BF member and vancouver local, set up a nightime course using tiny reflective dots and had clues printed up. It was a fun time and i got to meet a fellow knife nut and BF member.

I was fortunate to purchase one each of the red G-10 Bladeforums.com edition of the REKAT Sifu and Carnivore. I am still unsure about how many were actually produced before REKAT ceased to make knives, but the blades state 6 and 19 of 50.

I was OH SO LUCKY to land balis in the pics below about two months ago. All came from the same seller. All were made in Pacific Cutlery period of company now known as Benchmade, you can tell by the lack of ® in the lower right corner of the etched logo. And all are MINT.

Very fortunate to own this one , it was a gift from some friends back in 2005 , while it doesn't see extreme use , it is my BBQ knife and is used on weekend for cutting whatever goes on or off the grill , as well as used for nights out fine dining :)

When I first started making knives , Neil sent me a Henchman blade he profiled out , for me to finish. While I still had no clue what I was doing , I attempted to finish it anyways and tried to do it justice :
S30v , Koa scales , red liners , mosaic pin

This one was given to me by my good bud Trace Rinaldi , back in 2006 at the first CK&G get together. It's been rode hard , put away wet , and still comes back for more:

Another one is a Kit Carson slipjoint ( sorry no pictures yet ).

I am most fortunate to own all the knives I own (about 175).

Kind regards,

Jos

I'd say these two. The small Classic Seb with BG-42 blade is already gone and the SnG CC is on its way out in a few days when payment is received. Both were sold exclusively for much needed funds and it really disturbed me to lose them. But what disturbed me even more was that I was upset about losing possession of trinkets, toys, consumer goods, hunks of steel...
So I'm trying use this as an opportunity to develop a more detached relationship to "things" and instead appreciate more the people I come into contact with through the buying, selling, trading and discussion of these "things." And no, I ain't no hippie.
